So, what is the difference between a medical and non-medical mask? They both are blue, have three layers, and a nose clip, etc. To me they look the same.

Rae, this is an excellent question. Across the globe, Face Masks have different classifications. In general, there are level 1, 2, and 3 Face Masks. Level 1 is typically Face Masks with a filtration of at least 80%. Level 2 Face Masks have filtration of at least 94% filtration, and level 3 Face Masks have a 99% filtration. Our Face Masks are certified by the FDA and CE as Level 2, which are actually considered Medical Masks.

You can’t subscribe & save an out of stock item. My husband accidentally unsubscribed us from our clorox wipes in May. Haven’t been able to resubscribe or find them anywhere since. I’m still not over it!

As a note, disposable Face Masks are intended for one time use, although our masks are built to withstand multiple wears.

These masks are not made in the USA. The company is called American Mask and PPE, but it says right on their website “We purchase our face masks and PPE from all around the globe to make sure everyone has access to all the masks and PPE they need as we embrace our new normal.” and in another spot “Sourced from 30+ countries.”
I have bought these twice and they were good quality. They even said on the box that they were made in New York. Price has dropped also with better availability. Mine has been more that they’ve found out some masks are being made by forced Uyghur labor and I’d rather support a USA company bc of that.

Masks are being littered everywhere- these companies should be heavily taxed for the nuisance.
It is not the mask companies’ fault that people don’t know how to use a trash can.

So how does mask work? I read that they do not protect you from getting virus but protect others if you have it? It is so odd. That does not make sense. Sweden has NO mask mandate and have not created havoc amongst citizens and they are in same shape as us? THE WORLD IS WITHOUT SENSE.
Actually Sweden mortality rate is 40% greater than ours so they are not in the same shape. Their herd immunity that they were hoping for did not work.

These type masks do nothing against covid. Most even say so on the box. But they will help for larger particles like wood dust, pollen etc.
Hopefully this makes sense, and it’s the most succinct way I can explain it.
So the virus is carried on large particles of spit (called respiratory droplets). As those pieces of spit move through the air they break apart into smaller parts. The actual virus is even tinier than those small small invisible bits of spit in the air. The masks work to catch the largest bits of spit near your mouth and nose preventing them from breaking into small bits out further in the air. The small bits can still get through your mask to you. (Hence why your mask protects other people, but not you)
So while there may still be small bits of spit that can make it through your mask, they cut down on the large bits getting out. And by cutting down on the larger parts of spit, it means there is less of the virus that actually gets into the air to get to other people making them sick.
The reason for the universal masking is that people can be infected for up to two weeks before even showing symptoms (on average 5-6 days). That’s a long time of being able to spread germs without knowing you have them. Not to mention there’s evidence of people having COVID without showing symptoms (as is the case with kids).
Someone already explained Sweden’s 6.6% death rate of all confirmed cases compared to Americas 2.9% death rate of all confirmed cases… so I don’t know how you feel good using them as a model example against taking precautions?
I ordered two boxes of these. Thank you for posting the deal! I feel more comfortable with these than I do with ordering the medical grade ones from eBay, LOL. That might just be me. But at least the company appears to be more legit. I will try to remember to comment on the quality once I receive my masks!

For people asking about made in the usa masks, we got ours from Los Angeles apparel which is all usa made stuff ( this company used to be called American apparel which most have probably heard of) it’s $30 for 3 reusable masks and the quality is awesome!

I order 2 boxes of these from MQ Direct the last time the deal was posted. Each set of 50 masks came in a cellophane wrapper. I contacted the company because I felt uneasy about using them. Marlon at MQ told me the masks were taken out of the boxes to make it easier to mail but I was still leery as someone had to have touched the masks to have put them in the cellophane. I asked for an RMA to return them but have yet to receive it. (Been trying time return these masks since 7/15.)
Someone would have to touch them to put them in a box.
