The Christkindl Gluhwein Red Spiced Wine is great in the crockpot for pot roasts. An employee told me that years ago and we’ve used it ever since.
What a great tip! Thanks for sharing that, Abby!
Tell me more about this recipe please 🙂
Mama bear I’m a cook by smell/looks type of a girl. I don’t use a recipe for this per say. But this is what I normally do. I literally pour half a bottle of this wine in my crock pot 2 cups of beef stock/broth. 2 tbsps Garlic (or when your soul says that’s enough) Italian seasoning blend until it looks good Himalayan salt pepper whole onion chopped 4 celery stalks bag of baby carrots 2ish lbs of baby potatoes roast And cook until tender low for 8-10hrs Usually throw this in right before I go to work at 8:30 and it’s done by 6. We serve this for guests all the time and they rave about this.
All the Gluhweins are very warming. Excellent for drinking on cold nights! (They were originally designed for keeping you warm while caroling outdoors in Germany.)
Wow, sounds good!
Just FYI for coffee drinkers out there, the Pumpkin Spice flavored ground coffee is really good, too.
I wish our Aldi had any of the merchandise posted here! I wasted so many trips there & it always looked so disheveled!
Ahhh! I’m sorry! I find ALDI’s can differ greatly by state. My ALDI carries everything, but I visited another state and it sounds like yours.
Anyone tried the nog?
Picked it up last week but didn’t try it yet.
It just kills me that my favorite Aldi in Manchester, UK, is 4 times the size of my one here in FL and these same drinks would cost about $2! I wish we could still travel.
