KitchenAid’s New Studded Ceramic Mixer Bowl is Making Us Want to Bake All The Things!
KitchenAid’s new mixer could double as a work of art!
If you’re a fan of Starbucks’ studded tumblers, then you’re going to love the look of KitchenAid’s new Limited Edition “Light & Shadow” Stand Mixer.
This eye-catching kitchen appliance got its name from the matte, sun-soaked, sand color of its body and the shadows cast by the studded texture of its ceramic bowl.
The Light & Shadow Stand Mixer does a lot more than add visual interest to your countertops. This showstopper has all the features you’d expect from a KitchenAid stand mixer – a 5-quart dishwasher-safe bowl for jobs of any size, a tilt-head design for easy access to the bowl, and 10 mixing speeds for any task.
The Limited Edition Light & Shadow Stand Mixer is priced at $449.99 for the Stainless Steel Bowl option, but we’re guessing that everyone is going to want the Studded Bowl option for an additional $100. At that price, it’s definitely an investment, but this is one kitchen appliance you won’t mind leaving out on your countertop every day of the year!
If you’d like to save a little money on your purchase and you can be patient, enter your email address on KitchenAid.com to save 10% on your next order. This one-time offer is valid through September 24, but it may take a few days to hit your inbox.

Nope, looks like way too much extra cleaning. 😁
Yes, not a good look for my kitchen either. Too many edges and it looks too busy.
I agree I prefer the clean look of stainless steel. It looks Gothic to me.
But it said it’s dishwasher safe and I don’t put my stainless steel one in the dishwasher so this might actually be better, if you the look.
I want that bowl so bad. I wish I could buy it as a stand-alone for the mixer I already have!
If you Google KITCHEN AID STUDDED REPLACEMENT BOWL, a similar one, in white and blue, is for sale at Best Buy and other stores.
Pretty! I’ve had my KitchenAid for over 15 years and it’s still working wonderful. Except the switch has to be jiggled at times in low speed to get it started. I know they’re expensive but they’re worth the buy. If you buy $500 stand mixer and you divide it by 15 years that’s only $33 a year. I’ve made a lot of wedding cakes, custom cakes, cupcakes, brownies & much more for the last 7 years alone and thought I was going to burn it out, but I haven’t.
Shawna….I agree 100% with you!! I love ALL my KitchenAid appliances etc. They are so well made they do last forever, definitely worth the investment 👍👏👌
I totally agree with Jody! I will stick with the regular bowl
If John Snow was a baker.
Hahahahaha! You are spot on! Thanks for the laugh, Gigi!
I’m not into it, but I thought the white Hobnob one was cute. It looks like it’s no longer available.
Thanks for sharing! I do still find it available now as I click through.
Be careful with the Kitchenaid ceramic mixing bowls! I had one similar to this that ended up getting hit with the attachment and shattering and flung the pieces of the glass at me. I got cut, but didn’t require stickers – I read other similar stories on reviews where people had the same thing happen! Kitchenaid was awesome though when I reached out and they replaced my broken ceramic bowl with a stainless steel bowl!
Oh no! Thanks so much for the warning! Glad you are okay!
