Score Over $61 Worth of Products for Under $18 After Walgreens Rewards & Cash Back | Persil, Colgate & More
We’re shopping Walgreens again this week!
Through October 23rd, Walgreens is offering big savings on personal care products, household essentials, groceries and more!
Even better, there’s a ton of great digital coupons, Walgreens Cash and Register Rewards offers available for even more savings.
Our Sidekick, Melinda, was able to complete the scenario below which has one Register Reward offer. We’ve heard from some readers that not everyone receives these when doing an online pickup order. Our best tips are to make sure that you head in-store, don’t do curbside pickup, and ask for it if it prints out. We’ve always received them automatically but it can definitely vary! Also, Register Rewards do NOT show during checkout when ordering online.
Plus, be sure to check your account for a “Booster” coupon that offers $5 in Walgreens Cash Rewards when you spend $20! Your offer may vary a little but they are usually close to the same amount for everyone. You’ll want to make sure you have that clipped before you order so you can score those extra savings!
AND, for a limited time, you can score 10% off select regular & sale-priced items when you use promo code GET10 at checkout.
Hip Tip: It’s easiest to clip the coupons by heading to the item you’re going to purchase and clipping it right on the product page! You can also clip coupons during checkout and it will even let you know if there’s a coupon available!

I was told by a Walgreen’s manager if the item is on sale, the digital coupon or other coupons are not redeemed. Example, Palmolive dish soap is regularly $1.19, it was on sale for .99. There was a digital coupon for .50. I got the sale price of .99, but digital coupon was not rewarded. I am done with Walgreen’s!

Oh no that’s not how that works at all. Manufacturer’s coupons whether paper or digital may be used on sale items but the coupon value may not exceed the sale price. I just did the Palmolive dish deal myself and had no trouble. I got the oxyclean variety.
Here’s what to do from Walgreens.com help center:
Why am I unable to redeem my coupon at the checkout?
Please ensure you have read the offer purchase requirements carefully to ensure the brand, quantity, size, and price match with the item you are trying to purchase. If everything matches and you are still having trouble redeeming the coupon, please contact Walgreens.com Customer Service at 1-877-250-5823 with the product description and UPC product barcode number.
Some managers know a great deal about coupons but others perhaps not so much.
I’m sorry that you had a bad experience.
I had a problem last week with the Reese’s candy. I purchased two bags, but the $1 digital coupon I had clipped to my card didn’t work. The manager basically told me the same thing – that if it’s on sale the digital coupons don’t come off. I knew he was wrong, it’s just Walgreens’ system not working again. Has happened to me in the past. I just chatted with customer service when I got home and they added the $1 to my cash rewards account.

Good. I’m glad they fixed it. Customer service generally makes things right for me when things go wrong.
Not sure what u talking about but I can confirm Cheryl Bennet’s post. Coupons don’t take off on full price. What’s funny is that the items I bought had Walgreens tag on it for 2 for $5, it’s on the ad, tag and everything. Original price was $2.79 for one but on sale 2 for $5 this week with $1 coupon off. So my total should be $4 right?
Went to check out & my receipt charged me 2 for $6 and no coupon taken off. Yes I have correct items! They only have 1 size of the jar so the chance of me grabbing the wrong size is nonexistent. I went back & asked how come my coupon didn’t take off. Manager said coupon will only take off full price. So I said “oh really. Full price is $2.79 each. How come I’m being charged 2 for $6?
Manager was like “oh you right!” Went to look at the tags & came back saying “the sale is 2 for $5 this week. I’ll honor the price”
He’s acting like he’s doing me a favor as the sale is 2 for $5 anyway but it’s charging me 2 for $6 more than original price of buying 1 😂
Manager: I can only give u 2 for $5 but I won’t do coupon, coupon is only for full price.
Me: the coupon doesn’t work regardless full price or not. Full price is $2.79 each but charged me 2 for $6 and coupon didn’t come off.
Manager: Idk what to tell u. The system is being weird by charging incorrectly but I’ll give u 2 for $5
What’s funny was manager was acting like he’s doing me a favor by honoring what’s suppose to be on sale this week but he’s also gave me an attitude for making him fix the correct sale price. Walgreens is funny! Always a waste of time if u ask me
That’s really too bad you had that experience, Judy Trac. Coupons do work even if an item is on sale. Seems like it was the manager who didn’t know. I’d probably choose a different Walgreens next time.
You are correct. I clipped the $1 off but I didn’t get the discount. My item was on sale 2 for $5 and regular price was $2.79 each. Walgreens charged me 2 for $6 which is more than the original price itself & it didn’t take off $1 coupon. It was 2 for $5 then $1 off would make it $4 for 2. However, the system charged me $6 & no $1 coupon off. I went back & it was horrible experience. They don’t and the manager even said if the system didn’t take off means it’s correct. LMAO. He’s outta his mind. Saying coupons are only allowed on full priced items
