I wrote to Walgreens letting them know that I disliked the new digital ad. Here is the main part of the response. It is quite informative. I like it even less now that I know where they are going.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Starting on October 24, 2021 the Digital Weekly Ad will unveil new functionality resulting in a personalized experience for our customers.
In order to view this new feature, please conduct an update on your devise for the myWalgreens app.
In the meantime, the following are a few changes to look forward to:
The Weekly Ad will now show the most relevant offers based on the customer’s prior shopping history. Each customer’s digital ad version is intended to look different. We want customers to see their most shopped items first, but customers will still have access to all offers available to everyone.
Other functionality enhancements are:
• Navigation Menu: Jump quickly to access product categories
• Search Tool: Locate products and offers faster
• Coupon Clipping: IVC and manufacturer coupons can be clipped directly from the ad.
• Shop the Ad: Add to Cart and choose fulfillment method from the ad.

Got 3 Pantene shampoos and didn’t get $5rr. At the store.
You can get the Catalina company to mail it to you. Contact them at 1-888-8COUPON, or 1-888-826-8766.Wait for a customer service representative and explain the situation. Just let them know what deal you did. They’ll walk you through the rest.
Are you able to redeem a earn points with purchase if you are also using points on your purchase ? Today a had a spend $35 and get $8 back . I tried to do some of the deals and didn’t get the Pantene con or the rr back for that matter. Also they scanned the $8 don and it scanned and showed up but then she asked me if I wanted to use points so I did .
On a threshold deal, you don’t want to pay with Walgreens cash. So, the spend $35 and earn $8 back is considered a threshold deal. If the deal is Buy XX, Get XX Walgreens cash – then YES you can pay with Walgreens cash and still earn it. Since the rules on Walgreens cash can be confusing, I personally only use my Walgreens cash on deals where I don’t earn any.
The RR is a different case. If you bought the correct products, you should have earned it. You can call the Catalina company to help you get it mailed to you at 1-888-8COUPON, or 1-888-826-8766.
