Saw this post & had to share my story….When our very busy little girl was two, she happened upon a lovely large tub of Vaseline just like these in the post and made herself a little art project. In no time at all, she smeared it alllll over the windows in her big brothers’ room. She basically finger painted with the gunk. LOL! The layer was so thick that she was able to get suncatchers to adhere to it. Then, she smeared it in her hair (which was curly, btw, so it softened it in the most lovely way…haha!) and rubber her hands all over her clothes. Oh my word!!!!! Our reaction when we saw it!!!! We had no choice but to laugh. It was such a disaster!
The clothes had to be thrown away. There was no saving them. Her hair had to be shampooed several times to get the Vaseline out. And, the window had to be scraped with a scraper like you use to clean iron skillets. It was the only way to get the many layers of goop off of the window! Thankfully, she somehow managed to not get a drop on the carpet.
She is now eight years old- and, yes she loves art! 😀 We also no longer leave Vaseline where a little one might find it. So, be careful, mommas- if you order this Vaseline- don’t leave it in the reach of littles. hahaha!
