Are the Lego Friends like duplos?
No. LEGO Friends is just their line geared toward girls. They have simple and complex sets that range from ages 4 and up. LEGO is phasing out the LEGO Juniors line (which served as the transition from Duplo to regular LEGO bricks) and designating them “4+”. I’ve bought a couple of “4+” Disney and Friends sets for my preschooler, and they are regular lego bricks, just simpler builds – usually only 100-200 pieces.
