We use these for general household cutting. In past week they were used to cut paper, cut skin off chicken, cut sandpaper to size, cut Velcro strips and much more. Very reasonable cost for 2 pairs and spares me using my wife’s good sewing shears for household use.
So far I have no complaints about these scissors. I am a screen printer and use these all day long to cut t-shirts for various reasons. My coworkers come down to my press to use them because they cut so well.

These are great but be careful as they are sharp (lol).
I’ve found that the haircutting scissors found at Dollar Tree are remarkably durable and survived a denim patching job to cut ribbon for Christmas gifts. I didn’t use them on food, but I’m confident they could handle chicken skin. They’re found in the hair aisle–though, curiously, not on their site. Have they been discontinued? 🙁 Anyhow, keep your eyes peeled your next trip.
