This DIY Poop Emoji Slime Looks So Stinkin’ Real!
Love slime? Make this poop emoji slime for a silly good time! 💩
My kids love making slime and have come up with all kinds of fun concoctions. It’s a fun craft that my 11-year-old daughter enjoys. They think the poop emoji slime is super hilarious, and had lots of fun making it!
Here’s an easy way to make slime look like poo!
The secret to poop-colored slime is cocoa powder!
Yep (and bonus), your slime will smell like chocolate! Remember, just because it smells like chocolate, doesn’t mean this slime is edible – it is definitely NOT! I’d save this project for older kids if you think that your little ones may want to try tasting it.
Our favorite method for making this slime is by using the combination of clear Elmer’s glue, baking soda, and contact solution. It’s super easy and has worked for us on each try. Using the cocoa powder really gives the slime a realistic dark brown color, but you can always use brown food coloring instead if preferred.
For the contact solution, make sure that yours contains both boric acid and sodium borate so it will work as an activator.
Hip Tip: If you’re finding that the slime is too sticky, try putting lotion or baby oil on your hands, and it won’t stick. It’s an easy fix that really works!

In a bowl, use a spoon to mix glue and cocoa powder, then stir in the baking soda.

Lastly, stir in contact solution. You’ll notice it start to “activate” and become more solid as you stir. Keep stirring for a few minutes, and then manipulate it with your hands. If it’s too sticky, add a little more contact solution. The more you manipulate it though, the more solid it will get.

Swirl your slime into “poop piles” and add a couple of craft googly eyes just for fun! Remember, this slime smells like chocolate, but it is NOT edible.
Note: Slime can last for weeks when stored in a tightly covered container. However, I’d toss it if it gets moldy or starts to smell unpleasant.

I’m sure kids would find it funny but why not just make the regular slime that they can continue to play with? You literally make it in 10 seconds, form the shape and toss it. 3 minutes of fun compared to all day fun with typical slime. To each his own.
Honestly it can really be called chocolate slime! But yes definitely can just make regular slime.

I’m still laughing when I think about putting 3 piles of this slime on the hallway floor Friday (keep in mind we have a PUPPY!) and yelling “come, quick!” To my 3 boys 8, 10 & 12! OMG hysterical reactions in bare feet!!
