Check your refrigerator for a recalled product!

The Sabra Dipping Company, which makes Sabra hummus, has issued a voluntary recall of its Classic Hummus.

The recall is limited to about 2,100 cases of its 10oz Classic Hummus, which was potentially contaminated with Salmonella. This was discovered by a routine screen of a single tub of product.

The recalled product was distributed and sold in 16 states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Jersey, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. They have a UPC code of 300067 and an expiration date of April 26th.

If you purchased this hummus, contact Sabra Consumer Relations at 1-866-265-6761 for any questions or for information. You may return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or visit www.sabrahummusrecall.com and Sabra will mail you a replacement coupon.

    This is not the first time Sabra has had a recall=(
    Don’t get me wrong I still buy in the store but it’s easy and tastier to make your own!
    Would love to see a post with great hummus recipes, and links to the teams fave food processors or immersion blenders please =)

      Yeah, I’m with you too! Also, Sabra has tested as having the highest glyphosate levels…just be careful you all. I’ve enjoyed blending up some tasty recipes at home also, having my kids involved and helping. Here’s a good base to start: garbanzo beans (canned works great), tahini, lemon juice, EVOO, salt, water. You can add flavoring like 2 garlic cloves, chipotle sauce, add roasted bell peppers or beets for added nutrition. I personally love the garlic flavor:)
