Hi Cheryl! When I open my app, I see a pop up with the option to add these offers to my account. I also see it when heading to their site above.
You will have to go to the Ibotta website – login and click on the part that talks about the free offers. Then within an hour, the offers will be added to your account. It took about 45 minutes to show up for us.

oh I guess they changed it, I had to add the Chrome extension, then link my account to Target, for them to give me those offers. I had unlinked my account because I was missing too many offers from Target.

I think the post should be updated that ibotta is requiring you to install the ibotta extension to a browser to receive the offers. It’s not available on the ibotta app, at least for me. I’m not interested in letting ibotta know my entire browsing and buying history, so this is a no for me.

I didn’t have to add the extension. I just signed in from my browser then opened the app and the offers were there.

I agree, it did not work for me through the app. Either you have to do it on the computer or it could be I did not have the Target online account linked to Ibotta. It is not a in-store offer so that could be it. It worked after I did it online, not through the app

I am having a hard time with this. When I click on the download, it takes me to the App Store, which asks if I want to “open” my Ibotta app, which I do and it takes me back to where I click to download. Any suggestions? I am not around my computer, I just have my iPhone.
Hmm, maybe try switching to desktop view to see if it might work better for you that way. Hoping that does the trick!
I cannot find any possible way to get these offers added without downloading the browser extension, which I refuse to do. On the app, you have to put in the email associated with your account. I received the email and it says I must click on the link and download the browser extension in order to “unlock the offers”. Maybe anyone who is able to just sign in and add the offers already has the browser extension downloaded? Back in November when ibotta had the free offers for Thanksgiving, you could click on a link that said “don’t have a computer?”. I don’t see any such link this time around. I’m just not willing to give ibotta access to my computer. Not worth it.

I have the offers listed in my Ibotta app, under Walmart. I can shop in store to get them instead of online+pickup? Did you redeemed it already after checking out in store? Thanks….I rather get items myself than someone else…
I think you can do online order and curbside pickup. I ordered on Target, not Walmart, I will pick up now, lets see if it works 🙂

Thank you, no problems redeeming and no extension added. I did have to go to the browser and sign in on my laptop. It will not work from a phone. After that I went to the app and the offers were there. I also got bonus points on Fetch for Kleenex and received 300 points for my receipt.

I hate that it’s only if you download the browser extension! I only have a cell phone and can do most everything without having to buy a home computer setup. Guess I’ll just keep watching for other deals🤷🏻♀️

How do you submit receipts if doing target online purchases?
I believe you need to have linked your Target account to Ibotta prior to the purchase.
That is my question too.
I’ve always just had my Target account linked, then shopped through Target via Ibotta and it takes a few days but it gives me credit automatically then.
I have always had my Target account linked too. I shop through the link in the Ibotta crome extension that links to the Target website. It’s been 18 hours and no rebate yet. Usually they are quicker, but after reading your reply I think I’ll wait several days before inquring. It really has taken days for you to get the rebate?

I’m usually pretty savvy with this stuff but i can’t get it to work for the life of me without adding the extension. Lol. Tried my desktop, updated the app, clicked the banners on the app and the website…. I think I’m giving up!
I feel your pain! I kick myself for the amount of time I’ve wasted on this today. Tried everything recommended here by all these super kind people and no offers appear in my app. I have a family member in IT/cyber security who has cautioned me to not use chrome browser extensions. He’s never steered me wrong so I guess I have to pass on this one.

All u need to do is go to Ibotta website in tablet or computer. Add the browser extension. The offers will pop up on the website. Add them from Ibotta website. Then they will appear on the app too. Hope that helps.
Also the offers are available at Walmart, not just Target online.
You need to open your app, scroll to the bottom, then you will see the button Free made easy, All free offers, all in one place.
From the Ibotta site ” If you don’t have access to a computer, you can submit a ticket to our Care team for assistance. But, be aware Care teams might take a few days to get you the offers, so the fastest way to get the offers is to download the browser extension if you have a computer.”
But don’t you have to activate the offers first? I can’t download the browser. Offers don’t show up in the app without the browser for me 🥴
I sent a message to customer care (I picked the topic of technical issue) and told them I didn’t have access to a computer. About 24 hours later, they emailed me back & said they had loaded the deals into my account under Walmart. It doesn’t show up for Target, but I’m happy to get anything. They were very nice about it. Hth.
The erasers qualify as an item for the Boxtops for Education app. Every ten cents counts for the schools.

Got everything except the bread (which we don’t really eat anyway). The Walmart I was at no longer had the single pack Kleenex, but the offer allows you to get a multi-pack and you will get the cash back for the single pack (ended up paying $1.10 for 2 packs of Kleenex).

hmm mine still has not shown up! Getting nervous now! I picked up yesterday around this time….so 24hours!
I tried all of the suggestions noted, but nothing worked for me. It seems whether using the phone app, or on the computer, the only way i can get this offer is to download the browser extension, and i am not going to do that. I don’t need any of these things, but i was hoping to donate them to someone who did need them. Oh well….

Took 36 hours to get my credit. I bought all the free items and a couple more items to get the $5 bonus. (Salsa and pesto) got like $27 back after all that and only spent $23 I think.
Used the computer extension to buy target online, then picked up in store. Didn’t upload a receipt.

hi I had added to my iobotta and linked my target card but I went into the store and picked out the items available and purchased on Monday and its Saturday and it did not show up in my Ibotta acct. with target were you allowed just to go to store and buy it or did you have to do pickup thanks
If you shopped in-store, you’ll need to upload your receipt to Ibotta to get the credit. I would hurry on that!
There’s no way I’m downloading a browser extension on my laptop so as another mentioned earlier, I contacted ibotta through the app and asked them to unlock the free bts offers for my phones, stating that I don’t use a laptop, etc. They responded in just a few hours and unlocked the offers for me in the app.
