Purchased this tablet to replace my kindle paperwhite which no longer holds a charge. It was less expensive to buy this than another kindle. So glad I did! I do own the 10″ fire tablet, but this little guy will be great to carry in my purse when I’m sitting in waiting rooms. Love everything about it. Got a case from Amazon and I’m in business.
Kindle Scribe (16 GB), Basic Pen AND 3 Months Kindle Unlimited

Kindle Scribe is the first Kindle that includes a digital notebook and pen allowing you to read and annotate in books, write to-do lists, take notes and/or journal. It features a large front-lit display (2 times larger than Kindle Paperwhite) and the longest battery life of any Kindle (get months of reading and weeks of writing on a single charge)!
I bought the Kindle scribe primarily to replace the piles of notebooks I keep accumulating over the years. I love writing on paper and I haven’t been able to find a replacement that didn’t feel artificial. I’m an artist, so I’m very particular about the textures of the pen and paper/screen against each other, so if it felt even slightly off, I would obsess over it, ruining the experience.
But with the Kindle Scribe, the writing experience is amazing. It feels exactly like a ballpoint pen on paper. There are a few various styles of page layout for the notebooks, including dot grids and various ruled lines. I love that I have basically infinite notebooks in one place. The battery life is amazing so far. I’ve only had it for a month and I use it a lot, but it hasn’t needed to be charged more than twice. The lighting on the screen is perfect, very easy on the eyes. I’ve been eyeing this thing since it was announced and I honestly wish I hadn’t waited this long to get it.
