There are some games you play with your kids just because they love them, but they’re not really fun for you – this is NOT one of those games! Seriously, you will have as much fun playing Ticket to Ride First Journey as they do!
It has all the same strategy as the full version of Ticket to Ride, but the routes are shorter, train cards are drawn straight from the deck, and the game ends when one player completes six tickets, so it’s a bit easier for younger players. It’s totally one the whole family will love, and it makes a great gift too!

Our entire family enjoys playing this game. We have played the adult version for years and our 7 year old always wants to join in. This version is perfect for him and still keeps us entertained. It took him a couple rounds to really get the concept and rules down. Game play for 4 takes about 45 minutes. Great game to play on weeknights after dinner!
We play this with my 5 and 7-year-olds and love it. It’s the perfect balance of making the adults pay attention and stay engaged but also simple enough for the kids to understand. It usually takes about 20 minutes to complete, which is perfect for their attention span. Great transition game from toddler to youth play level.
