I had first seen Toniebox while Christmas shopping last year and was immediately intrigued. Now, after owning one, I can completely confirm my interests (and my kiddos)! First of all, you can’t go wrong with Disney anything so my kiddos (ages 1.5, 3, and 4 years) were instantly hooked! They are also COMPLETE performers at heart, and although my oldest can voice-control Alexa, I worry about stations with explicit lyrics and when he can turn Alexa’s volume up BY TEN. 😳 Fortunately, Toniebox takes care of it all.
I cannot believe how many features this fun music box has including setting a max volume using the app, voice-recording your own unique content- such as sweet messages and personalized stories, and an automatic shut-off feature perfect for falling asleep to bedtime stories! I also love how robust this thing is! The box itself is surrounded by a thick layer of cushioned padding, so if it’s accidentally dropped by little hands *cough, cough*, unlike other electronic devices, you can trust that this thing will survive!
Additionally, the Toniebox can be played wirelessly for yet another sigh of relief for parents- because no one likes the risk of playing near wires. My 4 and 2 year olds love the toniebox.. I think adding your own content to the creative tonies is pretty straight forward too. The Disney tonies aren’t the same voices for the songs, so things like “let it go” are a bit of an adjustment. Some of the songs are done better than others. If it’s important to have the original music, it might be worth it just to buy a creative tonie and put your own songs on there. The tonie we use the most is the lullaby songs sleepy fox.. very pretty, soothing lullaby songs. The box itself is pretty durable. The tonies were b2g1 free at Target, which is the best deal I’ve ever seen on those. If you refer a friend from the tonies website, they get $15 off and you get $15 off, which is a free tonie. Unless you are ordering several to get free shipping, s&h costs are pricey. Amazon also carries them, but I’ve never seen them on sale.
