Our entire Hip2Save team LOVES factor meals! Check out Melinda’s review:
Okay, you guys, I really can’t say enough good things about Factor Meals. I admit I was a huge skeptic at first. I am a frugal person who has always cooked homemade meals, even for meal prep when I’m focused on counting macros and “dieting.” My husband found Factor and insisted on trying – he even ordered without me knowing, and I remember being upset when the box arrived on our doorstep. I told him it was way too expensive and that I doubted the meals would taste good. Well, I was sure wrong. Every single meal I’ve tried has been seriously delicious. My husband loves that he can get seafood options since I hate seafood and never cook it. He loves them so much, too, and we’re so hooked!
Although this is a meal delivery subscription service, there are NO commitments whatsoever. Your meal plan can be paused, changed, or canceled at any time. You can also skip up to four weeks of meals by pausing your delivery before each week’s deadline.
They appear to be in plastic containers, can the food be taken out of those containers to heat in the microwave? If so, how easily could that be done? I don’t like heating food in the microwave in plastic!
Thanks!
Hi Sharon! I spoke with customer service on this, and here’s what they shared – “I got it! Yes, all you have to do is reheat the meals in the microwave or oven. Heating times may vary depending on your microwave/oven. The recommendation is to heat the meal for 2 minutes and then if needed continue to heat in 30 second intervals until the contents reach 165° F. Please note that our trays are not designed to be heated in a convection or turbo oven or with those oven settings, and we recommend using a sheet pan when using a standard oven to heat meals.” Hope this helps! 🤗
These meals are actually quite good. It’s just my hubby and I; we don’t cook much. We have been saving money not going out as much.
That’s great to hear, Andrea! 😊 Sounds like a perfect fit for you two—so nice to save money and still enjoy tasty meals at home! 💕
Is the Seafood “Wild Caught” or Farm Raised…I do not eat Farm Raised Seafood
Hi Susan! Here’s what I found on their site about this – “While we use wild-caught shrimp, we currently do not source wild-caught salmon. The quality and freshness of all of our meat and seafood is very important to us!
A part of our commitment to our customers is that all of our food is sustainably and humanely sourced and produced. This means open water pen aquaculture fish certified by The Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), an international certifying agency. At each step of the aquaculture production chain, the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) addresses the four key areas of sustainability, which include environmental, social, food safety, and animal health & welfare. The use of BAP certified fish ensures that we can provide consistently high quality, fresh fish year-round to our customers.” Hoping this is helpful! 💓
Very disappointed with this. Food not impressive at all. Not delicious. Not healthy. Nothing special or unique. Very boring and common. Very expensive. Horrible customer service. After thanking H2S for a gzillion great products/services at great prices, for many years, this is the only time they recommended something that I hated and regretted.
I’m so sorry to hear it was such a disappointing experience, Kay. 😔 We truly appreciate you sharing your honest feedback.
