Popular Sriracha Sauce Production Impacted By Chili Pepper Shortage
If you see Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce at the store, stock up!
Huy Fong Foods Inc. is announcing a Sriracha shortage. 😳
Poor weather conditions may be to blame for a lack of Huy Fong Foods Inc. products at your local grocery store this summer. This past Wednesday, the company announced that several of its popular sauces are facing production issues thanks to a shortage of one of their key ingredients – chili peppers.
Unfortunately, until the conditions improve, Huy Fong Foods Inc. has suspended making their Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, Chili Garlic, and Sambal Oelek. If you’re a fan of the company, keep an eye out for their spicy sauces at the grocery store and pick them up while you can.
But don’t worry! Your favorite sauce should return soon. The company reported to NBC News that they are hopeful that the crop will improve in the fall which will help end the sriracha shortage.

Thanks for letting us know, Hip2Save!! I bought 12 bottles of Sambal Oeleck from Walmart, and 4 Sri racha 28 oz at target! We use these stuff a lot!!!
You are welcome! I’m so glad you stocked up!πΆ
They are so expensive now. $6 per bottle at an Asian market.
My husband will be really upset if he doesn’t have his sambal…better grab a few fast.

@ Kelly, donβt buy them at the Asian market, they are more expensive there. Target and Walmart are way cheaper!
Thatβs good to know. Maybe I will get some from Target. Thank you for the recommendation.
I wonder what it says about me that I’m more dismayed by this than by the toilet paper shortages of a couple years ago, LOL!
LOL! Hope you can stock up on some soon, Beverly! β€οΈ
