I don’t generally like metal garbage cans because they tend to get dented and look tacky after a while. This set is very well made and heavy enough that they should survive most dings & bumps without denting too badly. The step is sturdy and should last a long time, and the lid has a soft-close feature on all 3 units that makes it very quiet to operate. All 3 cans come with a hard plastic insert that can be taken out and washed if you don’t use garbage bags, or if the bag breaks. The only drawback I can think of is if you have pets, the soft-close lid may give them enough time to get their head into the can to rummage a little. lol Overall, this is a nice set that should look good in most kitchens, offices etc.
