We are the kind of people that grow a lot of our own food and have quite the stockpile of home canned healthy and organic foods. We also have family members that are vegetarian. Living in rural Oregon and needing some easy-to-cook foods during a power outage, this fits the bill perfectly. The taste is great, I add onion and bell pepper bits when I’m frying it up and they make great burgers. I love black bean burgers but hated draining a can of beans all day to get the liquid out, then dry them more in the oven…just so much work. This is perfect for my needs.
Awesome value. I got this for less than 11 dollars per #10 can. Can’t beat that. Black bean burgers, refried beans, filler for meatloaf, stuffed peppers, and chili. It will easily stretch your protein when times get tough it will also save you cash and decrease your dependency on red meat.

I bought this last time it was on sale for me it is very salty and more of an oatmeal consistency. I probably will mix it into regular hamburger to “stretch it” but I don’t care for it by itself.
