Southwest Airlines vouchers don’t expire any more!

Good news! As of July 28th, Southwest Airlines vouchers will no longer have an expiration date. This new policy includes any vouchers created prior to July 28th that have not yet expired.

Loyal customers already love Southwest Airlines and this latest move is yet another step toward improving the customer experience. In a recent media release, Ryan Green, Southwest Airlines’ Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer, says the move will provide, “ultimate flexibility,” to Southwest customers.

Do you have a valid Southwest Airlines voucher?

If you currently have a valid voucher, there is nothing for you to do. The new policy is effective immediately.

When the airlines have the proper technology, your voucher will no longer include an expiration at all. Until that time, vouchers may reflect a placeholder expiration of December 31, 2040.

Which vouchers are not included in the new policy?

Any voucher that has an expiration date of July 27, 2022, and prior is no longer valid. This may include unused vouchers that expired during the pandemic. Check with the airlines if you have questions.
