According to Rubicon Technologies, a waste and recycling solutions company, more than 600 million pounds of candy are purchased every year for Halloween in the US alone. Unfortunately, most of those candy wrappers will end up in landfills and most curbside recycling programs are not equipped to recycle this kind of material.
As Halloween 2022 approaches, Rubicon is partnering with the Mars candy company to minimize wrapper waste this spooky season! The companies are collaborating on a Trick or Trash initiative that gives away specially designed, recyclable trick-or-treating bags throughout the month of October – and they are 100% free to request and have shipped to your door! SOLD OUT!
Each trick-or-treat bag comes with a prepaid postage stamp and simple 3-step instructions on how to return it for proper recycling. Once returned, each individual bag and all the wrappers inside will be fully recycled for future use. AWESOME!

Got mine in the mail yesterday. Had a good laugh when I opened it because I thought it came full of candy, that you then recycle the wrappers of! 🤣 Free candy, knew it was too good to be true! 🤣

I was going to order a box for personal use but they want $100, they are off their rocker. It’s free for businesses and schools. Glad I was able to get the Mars bag and do good that way. Thanks hip2save
