As you get older, sardines are good for your diet. You lose muscle mass and need protein in your diet every day, and sardines are an excellent source of protein. Also, they have no carbs, and they’re high in Omega 3 fatty acids, which helps to keep your blood pressure down. I also find them to be easy to eat, and, when I worked, they were good to throw in my lunch box. The trick is to find sardines that don’t break the bank but still taste good. I also like that Chicken of the Sea is a well-known brand.
Not only are they filled to the brim, but are around $1 per can compared to other brands that go for over 3x that, and they were absolutely delicious. The sardines are delicate and melt in your mouth, and the olive oil tasted like rich quality olive oil. These are worth it and cheap enough to eat every meal of the day if you’re so inclined.
