New to shopping at Publix? Here’s everything you need to know!
How do the Publix BOGO deals work?
Weekly BOGO deals are by far the best way to save money while shopping at Publix. Publix allows you to stack savings by using one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon PER item, even on BOGO deals! Keep in mind, though, that BOGO sales vary depending on your state.
In parts of Florida, Southern Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina, there is “true BOGO,” where you must purchase one item at a regular price to get the second item completely free.
But if you live in parts of Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and the northern areas of Alabama, Georgia, or South Carolina, you can take advantage of “half-price BOGO”. This means you can only buy one BOGO item, and you’ll be charged just half price!
Hip Tip: Looking for a hot Publix buy-one-get-one deal that’s out of stock? Ask for a rain check at customer service! You can get a rain check for up to 8 single items, or 4 “bogo deals.” PLUS, Publix will accept any valid coupons on the date the raincheck was issued!
When do the Publix BOGO deals change?
Publix’s weekly ads have two weekly cycles, Wednesday through Tuesday or Thursday through Wednesday, depending on where you live.

Be sure to stop by the deli and grab a Publix sub or wrap before you leave! You can even order ahead and grab it on your way to checkout!
This week, you can grab Boar’s Head Turkey Subs for only $8.99 (reg. $10.99).
What’s your favorite Publix sub to order? Let us know in the comments below.

You also don’t want to miss $5 Sushi Wednesdays! Every Wednesday, you can snag select varieties of sushi for just $5.
Varieties vary by store, but we’ve spotted California Rolls, Rainbow Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, Chef Samples, and more!

Join the club to save even more at Publix!
New Club Publix members (free to join) get $5 off their next purchase of $20 or more! Club Publix members also get birthday and half-birthday treats, special perks on their Club Publix anniversary, exclusive offers, and lots more.

I really like that Publix even lists all of the BOGO’s for the week on their website under “Savings”. So helpful to look for the before going to the store. 🙂
Yes! Great tip and suggestion, Tracey. 🤗 Love that their site makes it easy to find all the deals. Happy saving! 💕
Love the Publix posts! Moved from TN to NC, we have Harris Teeter and Publix so very thankful for these. <3
Aww, yay! You’re so welcome, Kelly. Very happy to hear you’re loving these deal posts. I’ll be sure to pass along your sweet comment to the team! ❤️
Thank you! This helps so much!
Do you know which BOGO deal type the Publix in Kentucky uses?
Good question, A! You might contact your local store to see how they would honor these BOGO deals! ❤️
In Kentucky, you can one BOGO item at half price.
South AL here and we get items half off, not true BOGO. 😊
Thanks for sharing how these deals work at your location! 🤗💖
We have a Publix opening soon and we’ve never shopped there before. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for these posts to learn the best ways to save!! Any tips from other shoppers is welcomed. Thanks 🙂
So exciting! 🎉 Hoping these posts are helpful! I’ve definitely heard great things about their deli subs! ❤️
The meat and produce departments will gladly break packages if you want to buy a smaller amount.
Service at Publix is awesome and the stores are always so clean.
*This is not a paid endorsement, lol.
TRue~!!! NOOOOOOO. and i got them without looking
There’s an episode of Atlanta where Donald Glover, Jr. says he only came along in hopes of getting a Publix sub. I love the mojo pork, but they’re always out, so I get the egg salad. The kids split a chicken tenders, because they’re huge.
Thanks for sharing what your family’s favorites are, Lillian! 💞 Mojo pork sounds yummy. Hoping it’s available on your next trip! 🤞
We love the customer service at Publix! I don’t know if this policy is at all Publix locations, but at ours in northern Alabama, if an item rings up for full price, when it should be on sale or BOGO (advertised or a tag you see in store), they will give you the item for free! Good selection, clean stores, and my kids like that they can get a cookie or balloon.
WOW – that is fabulous customer service! 🎉 Thanks for sharing all the details and friendly service at your location, Kanani! ❤️
Yes–that’s called the “Publix Promise” when things ring up incorrectly. It’s a corporate policy.
Love the Italian pub sub! And kids love the popcorn chicken and tenders sub .
Yum! Those options all sound delicious. Thanks for sharing some of your family’s favorites! 🥪
Publix is awesome! I winter in Florida and go to Publix when there (although they can have higher prices). They have great specials and BOGOs. The stores are always spotless, the staff is friendly and quick and they always ask if you want help to your car. On your anniversary for being a member, you receive a coupon for a free bouquet of flowers and on your birthday, you get half off a bar cake or ice cream! Wish we had Publix in Michigan!
That’s awesome, Lorih! 🤩 Publix really does have some great perks—those BOGOs are hard to beat! 🛒💖 Love that they make the shopping experience so pleasant too. And how sweet are those anniversary and birthday treats?! 🎂🎉 Thanks for sharing with others how much you love Publix!
How I can I look up the deals u guys posted last week for Publix, I m in FL & they are still good today….. I can’t recall what I wanted to get & wanted to look @ the deals u listed
Hi Shelly! This link gets updated each week with the new deals, so the older ones from the prior week are removed. If the email address you used to leave your comment is correct, I’d be happy to send you an email with last week’s deals? For this week’s and next week’s deals, be sure to copy/paste your favorites above or click the “print” icon at the bottom of the post (just before the comments start), so you have them handy when you’re ready to shop next Thursday, if that’s your preferred day. 🤗
Be sure to sign up for perks. A free cake the month of your birthday, another half price at your 6 month birthdate. Their cakes are great!
Thanks for the sweet tip, Dianne! 🎂 That’s such a fun way to treat yourself twice a year! 💕
I’d never been to a Publix until moving to Florida, but was quickly won over. I’m familiar with other grocery stores including Sprouts, Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, Winn Dixie, Food Lion, Safeway, Piggly Wiggly, Giant, Shop Rite…no one beats Publix customer service. They always have enough employees if you need help, registers with enough live cashiers if you don’t want to do self checkout, either no wait or short wait at the pharmacy. Their prices are a little higher but to me the customer service and clean stores make it worth it. Great weekly BOGOs mean they beat out even Walmart prices for those items.
Appreciate you sharing that, Del! It’s always great to hear what makes a store stand out to shoppers—sounds like Publix has really worked well for you since the move! 🙌💞
I wish I didn’t need a phone to use the online coupons.
Do you not have a phone at all or just don’t want to use the app? You can make an account online on a computer and do everything on the website, including clipping coupons. Then you just enter the phone number for the account at the store and it will use the coupons you clipped. This is how I do it because I don’t like looking at the little screen on my phone all the time. My mom also does this because she doesn’t use apps at all.
Thank you !!!!
You’re very welcome! Happy saving! 🤗
This is always so helpful! Thank you!
SO happy to hear you enjoy these Publix posts, Mel. We appreciate the sweet feedback—and I’ll be sure to share with the team! 💗
One of my favourite ways to save at Publix is stacking BOGO deals with digital coupons — it really adds up fast! I’ve also noticed that planning meals around what’s on sale each week saves me the most in the long run. Do any of you do the same?
Publix has one of the most flexible coupon policies compared to other grocery stores. They accept manufacturer and competitor coupons, allow stacking in some cases, and run frequent BOGO deals that pair really well with coupons. If you want to check out the latest updates and tips on saving more at Publix, visit 👉https://publixadweeklyad.com/
And they have a price-right guarantee that refunds the full amount when it doesn’t scan correctly!
This helps so much!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the post! 🤗 Happy savings!
While I prefer not to drink bottled water, my reverse osmosis tank is on the brink. I was surprised to see the Publix drinking water on sale BOGO today. I got 2 gallon jugs for $1.33. My well water servicer said Publix is one of the better brands, over Zephyrhills even.
The Merryfield app is making the bogo WASA crackers FREE.
Awesome! Thanks for letting us know about that offer, kelly!
