Our Hip Readers love Legacybox…
This is an amazing service. I received a Legacybox as a gift from my parents to convert my old VHS dance recitals and high school musicals to DVD. I was really nervous about sending out 20 VHS tapes that couldn’t be replaced, but the company kept me informed throughout the process, which eased my nerves. They shipped me back the original VHS tapes with the new DVDs, all labeled according to my instructions. The video quality is the same as the VHS tapes were, but I knew that going in. I highly recommend this as a way to modernize the means to preserve/watch old memories. – Hip reader, Michelle
I was nervous too, but I think it really depends on the outcome you’re expecting. For us, we just had a bunch of old VHS and Betamax tapes that we wanted converted to digital. Everything went great! It does take a while for the digital files to come back. But they’re all in a Google Drive, and I was easily able to share the link with everyone in my family. So if you’re trying to do something similar, I say go for it. I have a set of old reels from my grandparents that I’m afraid to send off, though. Which is silly. I can’t watch them now as it is.– Hip reader, Cassie
