The day I got my driver’s license my dad added me to his AAA plan and I’ve had it ever since. What does it mean exactly “up to 5 miles each way” for tow? I have a teen driver and could buy and add him too, does it cost more to add more than 3 people?

Check your car insurance to see what kind of roadside assistance it offers. We have been AAA members for years, but recently realized we qualified for some similar coverage through our car insurance. That said, I still like being a member because it offers peace of mind and I have also used it to help my family members when they’ve needed a tow or battery replacement. You can also get discounts when you travel. Do your research before buying, but overall, especially as someone who doesn’t feel confident managing car issues, I feel better having this coverage than not!
Agreed, Molly. We have the AAA plus, first, peace of mind (we travel a lot and that reassurance that we can get a tow or if we have other car issues is worth it, rental or otherwise). They also give free passport photos (if you are near a AAA office, I think it is 2 photos per year). We also like to utilize their travel consultation… just to name a few benefits.
During the early Covid period they photocopied and faxed for me in a sanitary environment for no charge. My local branch office also provides free notary services.

When clicking on the link there’s no mention of the $20 gift card anywhere. It also didn’t give me 50% off. The only offer was for $30 off regular price.

I did. There was nothing. The amount due was $30 off regular price which was not close to 50% off. I opted not to since the deal wasn’t what was advertised here and there was no mention of the $20 card at checkout and I knew there would be no recourse if I completed the transaction.
