Claire’s has filed for bankruptcy, but there’s no need for panic yet…

It’s good news for some Claire’s locations! Even though the popular accessories store has officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, several stores will pause the liquidation process.

So, what does this mean? Select Claire’s stores near you may continue to stay open! This also impacts Canadian stores, where similar bankruptcy proceedings will likely occur soon.

CEO Chris Cramer says it was a tough call, but a necessary one to keep the business moving forward. This decision comes as the brand faces increased competition, changing shopping habits (especially the shift away from malls), and ongoing debt challenges.
