Could someone tell me the difference in alcohol based vs regular markers? Can these be used on rocks etc?

Great question! Here’s what I found if helpful – ❤️

      Alcohol-based markers –

Use alcohol ink (instead of water)
Dry very fast and blend smoothly (great for shading)
Colors tend to look more vibrant and streak-free
They will bleed through paper easily
Work well on non-porous surfaces like glass, plastic… and yes, even rocks!

      Water-based (regular) markers –

      Use water-based ink
Take a little longer to dry
Can streak more and don’t blend as smoothly
Usually won’t bleed through paper as much
Better for paper, but not as great on slick surfaces like rocks

Art students prefer alcohol based markers. The colors blend together better.

Thanks for sharing that, Relena! Good to know!
