Just camer back from Target. Got two purses/summer handbags for just under $2.00. There were no socks cheap, but found some slip on footies to go in shoes full price for $3.00 and the coupons brought them down to $1.00 each. Got my light bulbs, belly bars for .99 cents a box, and couple other items. Great deals!!! My cashier was great. Gave her hip2save web site. Then went to Toys R Us!! Live in Goodyear, AZ
hey, i live in goodyear too. i went to target on cotton lane this morning… no handbags.
These were originally $9.99 marked down to $6.98. I had to search and look for the brand. They wre more like a tote bag rather than a purse. Pretty cute. I saw several other of the same brand the coupon would work on. The customer service reps were working in that area. Hopefully they did not take it in the back.

Michigan here & went to four targets todays, nothing worth getting. All the purses they have where still priced a little high for clearence, and the ones they did have for cheap are gone. No socks either, but i did get a Merona top for a dollar something.
they did have some cheap tote bags but they where ugly to me. didnt get them.

the purses at my target were down to 2.50 (with no coupon). so i bought one and am saving the 5.00 off coupons for the better purses i saw. Fingers crossed later this week or next week they will be lower
i hope they will be lower also between me & my sisters we have a few of these coupons each, i hope they mark them down more.
Purses here were marked down to $2.50. Target would not let me use the coupons I had. BOO! I guess I picked the wrong cashier. Oh Well, ended up getting them anyways. 🙂
I got 2 sets of the socks, marked down to $1.74, so I got .26 overage. The Target Q’s don’t always give you overage. I think it happens when it doesn’t attach to an item and the cashier has to push it through. I’ve seen the Target Q’s automatically adjust down before, but the sock one didn’t. I printed a couple more Q’s from hubby’s computer and I might check another store for some more.

They are socks. I just picked up two packs today. They come 2 to a set and were originally $6.99.
Just got back from my Target run! I got 3 2 packs of knee highs (dark blue/navy was all they had) and one cute pair of striped socks. The knee highs were all $1.7? so I got overage on those. The stripe socks were $2.54 so only .54 after Q. They also had some cute undies for .75 each. I got one purse/tote that was $6.89, so $1.89 after coupon. That was the cheapest my store had. They had a few at $7 but I didn’t like those. I also got one of the ottomans. At my store it was only the pinkish/purple one but none were marked so I had to scan them all. It was $9.99 so only 4.99 after Q. Free would have been better but they are cute and only 2 left so I figured I better grab one instead of waiting for them to go lower. It will be great to store toys in.
Am I the only one that finds the phrase “snatch up” slightly offensive? Like there are two women going for the same pair of socks and one of them rudely snathches up the last few pairs before someone else can. I know, it’s a picky comment, maybe I have just read way too many H2S posts, and it can’t be easy to continually try to find a creative way to say the same thing.
It doesn’t offend me at all…because it is rarely used to describe the scenario you describe. 🙂

Why do we all let things that don’t matter get to us. It is just someones wording…I know we are mostly women and read too much into things but it’s so unnecessary. Noone needs to stress over this.
When she says “snatch it up” I picture her just being perky and excited to grab it off the shelf and get a good deal! I’ve never pictured it meaning to try to beat other people to it or to race to be the first. Obviously Collin wants everyone to get a good deal or she wouldn’t share all this awesome info with everybody!
my target didn’t have the socks marked down and the purses where still $4 after coupon. I went to buy the closetmaid cubicle and storage cubies. I was going to use the coupons with it from their website and they were terrible. I had to call customer service and they said the store was in the fault. I give up on target all together and i will just take their ad to walmart.
I got the Closetmaid 2 shelf shoe racks today on sale for $9.49 and used a $5 off coupon, so $4.49 each. Not too bad IMO. You could probably also use the $5 off closetmaid q on the metal bins and wire bins priced at $7.99, so $2.99 after q!
I was able to find 2 packs of socks on clearance for $1.74. I scored both for free with my coupons! YAY! I was so excited. I was also able to get 2 packs of light bulbs free, 2 packs of Motrin PM for free. I was not able to find any good deals on marked down purses, but I will keep looking!
i didn’t get the socks because i don’t wear knee highs and that is all they had. but i did get some amazing deals…1 free purse, 1 purse that was 1.25 money maker cause he didn’t adjust coupons down to price. both purses are ugly in my opinion but they are going to be great for hauling stuff around wild waves this summer. free motrins, all the scrubbing bubble deals, 8 packages of feminine products for nearly free or pennies. ended up getting 160 in stuff for 48 dollars.
The purses may not be the prettiest thing ever but they serve a very nice purpose instead of a gift bag. I think someone would much rather recieve a gift wrapped in a cute little tote bag rather than a gift bag. They can most likely reuse the tote for another purpose.

true about the tote bag type ones. I didn’t get those type. I got actual purses, with attached wallets. they are large, and as i said, ugly haha but they are going to fit drinks in one and sunblocks and goggles in another for the theme park called wild waves …i used our c hristmas money from Nanny to purchase all of us a season pass for $50.00 each so we have our summer entertainment taken care of!
I am super mad at target right now. I had the WORST experience there today. I did the scrubbing bubbles deal where I got a $5 GC. I thought all my purchases were close to free, so when I got home (had my twins with me), I looked over my receipt, where it looks like they charged me for the $5GC. Then I totaled everything on my receipt and it should have been $14.20 plus taxes so $14.99! My total was $19.99. So 5 hours later I went back with my hubby and went through 2 different customer service ladies, and the store manager, they would NOT give me my $5 back. The store manager printed out a “detailed” receipt in her office, and kept saying it doesn’t matter what your receipt says, I have no clue why it’s totaling $14.99, but my recipt is more detailed, and you paid the correct amount. She said that she owes me a coupon that they didn’t scan, and that it’s just a $5 coupon. I said it STILL DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. If you calculate my receipt it is $14.99, but if you add the $5 GC it is $19.99 so you charged me for the gift card!! UGH. Of course corporate is closed at 6pm. I’m stressin’. I can’t believe how bad they treated me.
There goes that “JUST that $5.00” again. If we take care of our pennies the dollars take care of themselves,Right???? You should have said,do you know what I can do with $5.00–

Thanks, Oh trust me, I was not a happy camper. They acted like I was cheating their system by using a lot of coupons, and saved $42! … well actually it should have been $47! I’m still not a happy camper. I hope corporate can explain to me how MY receipt totals to $14.99 when I add the stuff together (even the second customer service lady added it together and got the same thing!) but their receipt shows that I paid the correct amount, and they just owe me a coupon. That doesn’t make sense why my order is still $5 short! I don’t think that store manager has any right to be a store manager, she doesn’t even know what she’s talking about!! Am I the only one who has nothing but troubles when I go to target? This is my first actual experience where I had to deal with customer service, but every other time the cashiers scrutinize my coupons BEFORE even TRYING to scan them. Sometimes I just want to give up on coupon shopping. Last night was a horrid experience, and I’m not looking forward to trying to explain myself to corporate either, especially if they are anything like the store manager at my store.
this happened yesterday to me..looki at your receipts before leaving the parking lot…I have heard this from a few people but one of my purchases came up $$29.99 insteead of $24.99 It was full price and not on clearance so there should have been no discrepancies there, but it rang a full $5 over the original price. THe CS lady could not explain it. LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPTS!!!!

I had a similar thing happen to me with the gift card for razors. It had charged for the $5 coupon. So I was frustrated, because I was thinking that wasn’t right. Then down more towards the bottom of line items on the receipt, there was a place where it then deducted $5. I think they must do this to account for how many $5 gift cards they give out or something. Kind of confusing if you ask me. If they are going to do it that way, I think it would be way more clear if they had the charge and the deduction one right after the other. Sorry you had a frustrating experience. 🙂
It didn’t deduct mine though. I looked over and over my receipt totaling everything up. Even the 2nd customer service lady totaled everything up and came up with the same thing as I did $14.99 (with taxes) but yet they still charged me $19.99 and they can’t explain a gosh darn thing, and they refuse to give me my $5 back. I have nothing but troubles going to my local target. EVERY coupon beeps it seems (and I use the exact same ones Collin posts for the same deals). So because the cashier over rided a few they make me seem like a horrible person, and really usually I get overage from Target, and yesterday I did not – which I am not mad at. I’m mad at the fact that no one can explain to me why if you manually calculate my receipt it says $14.99 (with taxes) but yet they charged me $19.99. The only thing I can think of is they charged me for the gift card.
Probably the best thing to do would be carry a calculator and keep a running total of everything as you put it in the cart so you know exactly how much it should be at checkout. I have had problems with Target—prices ringing up higher than they should, etc. Same with Walmart. I rarely go to either of the two because they are a little far and it is not worth the bother.

Just got back form Target. They closed it before I did all my deals so
i’ll be going back tomorrow.The pocketbooks were few and still $7.xx marked down but with the $5. off that was good.I looked and looked found one over in the sleep ware-sports section.And the socks were still $7. so that’s $5. So I bought a set of 6 for the fall.The colors were fun.The mark downs just were not there.But banquet frozen meal was 10 for $8,oo.and the Buitoni was $5.89 I did not have the Q’s on list that Collin gave us for the Buitoni but I’m going to look for some Q’s let you know what I find.

that really stinks. I’ve never had that experience at target, and in fact they go above and beyond to be so friendly. I feel very lucky to have such great experiences. At first, i thought it was because I know a few people who work there, but I have gone to the one across town a few times where I do not know anyone, and they are wonderful too.

I was so excited to see the coupon for the handbag; I had one already picked out from last week that I was going to use for a new diaper bag (mine has completely fallen apart!). I figured it wouldn’t be as cheap, since the clearance price was higher, but would still be a great deal. Darn; I really hope they get some more coupons!

I got a 2 pack of socks for $1.74 at the Madison, WI (westside) store last night. Got a $1 pair of panties as my filler for the overage. $0.78 total for all 3 items 🙂 They had a few purses, but none of them were to my liking. The cute blue, green, and black ones Collin posted pictures of were not on sale.
I got mens dress socks that are $2.50 (everyday price) used the $3 off men’s apparel coupon and got FREE socks!!! They even gave me the overage on one of the coupons. Woo Hoo! FREE SOCKS

I also got free mens dress socks. they let me use the mens apparal coupon on them and they were $1.50! And found 2 great deals on the womens shirts i got one for $2 and one for $0.98!! I LOVE TARGET!
