Kmart: LeapFrog TAG Book Clearance + Coupon!
Next time you’re at Kmart keep your eyes out for LeapFrog clearance! Sara, a reader, emailed about finding some LeapFrog TAG books on clearance for just $4.80! She used the $3 coupon from here (IE or Firefox) to get each book for just $1.80!
**These books would be great inexpensive additions to the TAG Reading System you may have snagged recently at Target or Toys R Us!
That’s a great deal for hardcover kids’ books whether or not you have a Tag reader (and the books generally look/read just like their regular counterparts)!

lol..I just bought books at toysrus on sale! I can’t figure out when to wait or buy anymore! These toy deals are insane! I’ll have to see if I can find the same and return my other ones!!
Just an FYI. When I went two weeks ago each time I bought a tag book, I got a $5.00 off of any tag book coupon to print out at the register. I don’t know that it’s still doing that, but I made several trips throught the line. I tried to post it in a reply to another forum to let people know, but I think it missed most of you. Hope it’s still going…it was a great deal!
I believe that the $4.80 price is a YMMV. I shopped at 2 K-marts this week. One K-mart had them priced at $10 with the extra 20% clearance prices so they were scanning at $8 and the other store had them at $7 and they scanned at $5.60 each. Titles included Kung Fu Panda, I Spy, Foster’s Imaginary Friends & Sponge Bob.
I bought one Tag book on Sunday for $5.60, used a $3 coupon & did receive a $5 Cat for a future Leapfrog product. I then used that Cat along with the $5/20 toy coupon that expired yesterday to get a new release Leapster game for $10. It was a title we really wanted so $10 was a great price.
All in all, some great deals at K-mart!
I found these at Kmart in Albuquerque and got 3 and it printed the 5 off coupon too. I didn’t have these 3$ offs. Bummer! I have them now! Thanks!
k-mart clearance items are also an additional 30% off this week at some locations so that could make for an even better deal
my Target finally reduced the Tag to $24.95…was able to get 1..they had them stacked behind the full priced ones…thanks!!
They were just marking them down at my Kmarts today. I also only found the four titles that Anonymous listed. I’d been hoping for some of the classic titles rather than the cartoon-based ones, so I only got I Spy (which I just paid full price at WalMart and now will return!) and Kung Fu Panda, since it was closer to my son’s age range. I also found the Tag storage case for $9.60, which is a little steep, but I was wondering how I was going to keep it all organized anyway, so I got it. I purchased a book and the case and got a $5 coupon. When I purchased a single book at another store, I did not get a coupon. I’m trying one more store today, and if there aren’t any good titles available, I may just get the cartoon-themed ones, even though my kid has no idea what they are.
My Kmart today had several books priced at $5.60. I used a $5 coupon then got the $5 off catalina. I went back and got 5 more and it kept printing with each purchase! I bought all the titles that were clearanced. I’ll keep my last coupon for when the new titles go on sale.

At my third and final Kmart run of the day, I found a Cars title, marked $7, like all the others. I scanned it, and it rang up full price. I took it to customer service, who gave it to me for $5.60 ($7 – 20% off, per the sign). I used the $5 coupon and paid 63 cents! Wish I had another Catalina, though! : ) I think maybe they only come with multiple Leapfrog purchases.
I just found them scanning for reg price.
I found some at a Kmart in MN tonight and was told that I could not use the coupon. They said that Kmart will only except coupons that say Kmart on them. I was blown away! Has anyone ever heard that before?
I scored very well tonight on the tag learning books and systems !! Bought my first tag book on clearance at k mart for 1.80 after using my 3 dollar coupon..it spit out a 5 dollar catalina so I bought my next three books in seperate transactions and got each one free 🙂 they rang up as 4.80 so I had to throw in a lollipop to get it over 5 to use the catalina each time…it spit out two 5 dollar catalinas twice …so I have two extras for when some of the more expensive books go on sale.. so I got 4 tag learning books for 1.80 !! Then I figured I better go check out the tag learning systems on clearance at target for 24.99..so I go there and they have 2 left (I have 4 yr old twins) and they were on clearance for 12.88 !! My mouth dropped when I saw the price tag !! I got both sets and used both my ten dollar off tag learning system coupons so I only paid 2.88 for each one !!! So I got 2 tag learning systems and 4 tag books for under 8 bucks !! not too shabby !! The 49.99 price tag was right on the tag learning set box ! Very Happy tonight !!
