  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got a coupon at the bottom of my receipt for $4 off any Huggies diaper box which would make it $11.99 with the new $3/1 Huggies. Not a bad deal!

    • Christine

NICE!! I got a $2 off out of the coupon machine yesterday, $4 is awesome!

  2. Sue L

For the Herbal Essences or Aussie shampoo, could the coupon be in 5/16 RP instead of 5/9 RP?

    • Chelsea

I was wondering the same question I don’t have that coupon either???

      • Lana

Yes, I think I saw on another site that it will be in tomorrows paper!

        • Leah

There’s a $2 off Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner AND styling product (5/16 RP), so you could buy a shampoo (or conditioner) and styling product @ $2.99/each, use $2 Q, get back 4 ECBs, making both products free!!

          • Erin

Plus the red coupon machine is spitting out a $1/hair care coupon.

  3. Renee

Lady Speed Stick link isn’t working…
    Thanks!

    • Rhonda

just go to http://www.colgate.com . at the bottom are product options I clicked on Lady speed stick and teh .75 coupon came right up

  4. Christy

Lady Speed Stick link is not working ….

Aussie & HE coupons were in my Red Plum that came in my mailbox this week! For some reason they have pulled it from the Sunday paper (at least in Indianapolis) and it’s coming in the mailbox.

  5. MARK

JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT THE COUPS YOU GET FROM THE MACHINE IN THE STORE WILL WORK LIKE ECB’S
SO IF YOU HAVE A NICE CASHIER THEY WILL TAKE THEM LIKE CASH
HAVE DONE THIS A FEW TIMES AND THEY PRINT OUT EVERYDAY SO IF YOU MAKE MULTIPLE TRIPS A WEEK YOU CAN CLEAN UP MARK IN BALTIMORE

    • Jennifer

I had a nice cashier do that for me too….I was sooooo happy!!

    • Lisa

I am not sure what you mean – please elaborate – thanks!

      • Erin

Well, here’s an example. Today, I found Johnson buddies soap on clearance for $1.04. I bought four and used two $2/2 bar soaps from the coupon machine. However, I also had two Johnson’s mfg coupons for $1 off, so I could have ended up with $1.84 overage (if I had merchandise to cover it). The CVS coupons are treated as ECBs, meaning they don’t adjust them down unless you end up with a negative subtotal.

  6. lilia

i was wondring if…”does any one had ever use $$/$$ off coupon wich didn’t receive in their email

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I do. They’ve been sending them pretty frequently lately. I got a $5 off $30. But, they always have a really short expiration. It only gives me a few days to use. But, I’m glad it expires on Sundays, that way I can get all the deals on that day.

      • Amy

I was told today (by 2 different CVS employees that the CVS coupons never expire! So if you get one emailed to you with that really quick expiration date, it doesn’t matter!!!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I hear it varies from store to store. I think some stores will allow you to use your ECB regardless of when it expired. For me, they allow me to use them up to 30 days. They will honor the expirations on money off coupons.

        • Mrs K

Wow, you must have Great cashiers. The cashiers here in Chattanooga, TN (at least at the store that is close to me) do Not honor expired coupons — not even one day — not even CVS coupons. If it beeps, they won’t take it.

  7. Amy

I’m planning on using a BOGO Q for the Covergirl foundation, plus $4 off $20 CVS Q that was emailed (exp. 5/16).

    Simply Ageless foundation $13 (x2=$26)
    -$4/20
    -$13 (BOGO Q)
    pay $9 oop
    receive $3 ECB
    total for 2 foundations=$6!

Also, hoping the .55/1 Hershey’s Bliss bar Q will work on the B2G1 free Hershey’s sale. If so, that’ll be .13 for 3 bars!

  8. Lauren M

Hi!! Off topic but – Anyone have the free fandango shop at home ticket code they aren’t going to use this weekend that they would be willing to email me????

    • bfam

      What is your email?

  9. Erika Huth

fyi- i was at the store today and they had their signage up already and the Dawn Hand Renewal IS included in the 12/$10 sale!

  10. Laura

Clairol Herbal Essences or Aussie Shampoo, Conditioner 12-13.5 oz. or Styler 5.1-14 oz. $2.99 = $2 Ecb (Limit 2)
Use the $1/1 Herbal Essences coupon from the 5/16 RP
    Final Cost FREE!

So I could buy 2 Herbal Essence for $3.98 OOP, then use the $4 ECB’s for 2 more free? I’m trying to figure this out for as little out of pocket as possible.

  11. Laura

So could I buy 2 Herbal Essence for $3.98 OOP, hen use the $4 ECB to buy 2 more for free? I’m trying to figure this out for as little out of pocket as possible.

  12. Babs T

The cashier at my local CVS told me they accept expired coupons up to 30 days…so if you have a coupon that expires 5/5, you can use it at CVS until 6/5! I’ve done it…it works!

    • Lori

are you talking about manufacture coupons or CVS coupons, because mine (in Ohio) take exp. cvs coupons up to 30 days, I asked yesterday.

  13. Kavi Ravi

There’s a coupon for $2/2 Bade product in the Reinventing beauty magazine. I bought the Blade razor($ 6.99 which is frre after ECB) and a blade body spray( small bottles $1.99 found near all other doedarants) and used the $2/2 coupon! My cvs starts sales at saturday….so I did this it worked, so you get both free after ECB!

  14. Judith

Hi guys, I’m new here. What does it mean when she says RP or SS?

    • Lori

RP= Redplum SS=Smart source P&G=Proctor and Gamble coupon inserts in the Sunday paper.

  15. Debra

HI Couponers: The magic coupon machine spit out some coupons for me today: one was “Save $1 on any CVS/pharmacy cosmetic accessories” and the 2nd coupon said,”Save $1 on any 2 CVS/pharmacy paper products.”

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the same ones. You can find a travel size CVS cosmetic cotton swabs for $0.99! So it’s FREE! It’s next to the rest of the cosmetic items.

  16. Debra

How can I use these coupons to get good deals? Any ideas?

    • Melissa R.

I got those as well. For the paper product, I think there are .50 CVS tissue single packs by the register, so that would make them free. Or the single rolls of Toilet Paper I believe are under $1. And for cosmetic accessories, there are travel size makeup sponges for .99.

      • Leah

Single rolls of TP are $1.19…I bought 2 today with the Q. Still a pretty good deal for single ply TP (it’s hard to find it single ply cheap, for some reason).
If what the PP said is true (that expired Qs are accepted 30 days past expiration), it might be worth holding onto until the TP goes on sale for $1/2 again, so that you can get 2 for free.

        • Erin

I heard that they accept expired coupons/ECBs, too. From a district manager, no less. I asked a local store, and they said they’ll accept them within two weeks. I asked again at the same store (at a different time) and I was told up to a month. At another store, I was told they accept them as long as it is within the same sale week (so if they expire on a Monday, you have til Saturday to use them). So it’s one of those YMMV situations. Also, be aware that expired coupons and ECBs beep, so you’re kinda at the mercy of the cashier, unless you want to call corporate or something.

    • Annmarie

I got a CVS pack of emery boards that were $.99.

  17. Mark

On the Speedstick/Lady Speedstick deal, I discovered that the $1/1 coupon in the Reinventing Beuty is a CVS coupon, so you can stack this on top of the $0.75/1 coupon from the Colgate/Palmolive site and make it a free deal plus $0.75 moneymaker.

    • Lisa

Just had my first bad experience at cvs – they would not take the speedstick coupon because she said there was supposed to be colored dots on the date??? And she would not take the B1G1 covergirl face coupon because she said it was only for the foundations in the picture. Argh!

      • Valerie

I had the same problem with the Cover Girl coupon and I said aren’t your lips part of your face and the cashier rolled her eyes at me. I was fine with them not taking the coupons if they can’t but it isn’t necessary to try to make me feel like an idiot. I just went to a different CVS and they took it just fine!!!! I also called corporate on the cashier who roller her eyes as that is inappropriate in my book.

      • Valerie

The cashier also told me they are NOT allowed to stack CVS and MAN. Q’s anymore and they DON’T take ANY expired coupons!!! I will NOT be going back to that CVS again!!

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    CVS Today —
The Herbal Essence did not ring at the right price and did not produce and ECB even though the sign was right in front of it. They fixed it for me — but watch your receipt.
They were out of the Blade 5.
They never have the Hershey’s Extra Dark bars around me — no one carries them.
The Wetslick and Amazemint had the sign in front but did not ring up B1G1. I had no problem with the B1G1 coupon though and they fixed the price problem.

  19. Leah

OK, I really need to stop posting on this post, but just wanted to add:
Some Rimmel mascara at my CVS was clearanced (red sticker) at 75% off, making it only $2.80. With the $2/1 Q, I got a tube of mascara for only $.80. I don’t know how good the quality is, but I’ll suck it up for that price. I have a good eyelash curler and eyelash brush lol.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Went to CVS today for the Cover Girl Wetslicks BOGO deal. I handed over the coupon and the register beeped. The store manager was ringing me up and said that it wouldn’t go through because the coupon indicates “face product”. I asked her if she would please try to push it through because, as she could clearly see, my lips were right there on my face as they always have been. She tried over and over but it kept beeping and she refused to take the coupon.

Anyone else having a problem with this? Should I try another CVS?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Haha…your lips are on your face! =)

      • Valerie

SAME problem here, I said nearly the same exact things, “aren’t my lips on my face?” she rolled her eyes and me so I told them I didn’t want to purchase them anymore and left swearing that I will NOT be going back to that CVS. They also said that I can’t stack CVS and MAN. coupons anymore either! I called corporate about the eye rolling and they called a different CVS and made sure my Cover Girl Q’s go through. UGH I was soooo frustrated that I left without one of my bags!

    • Sharon B

“……it wouldn’t go through because the coupon indicates “face product”. I asked her if she would please try to push it through because, as she could clearly see, my lips were right there on my face as they always have been….”

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Now that’s some funny stuff right there!! HAHAHAHAHAA!!
(PS….Did the BOGO for the lipstick and had a little difficulty, but the manager came over and zipped it through! Got the razor for myself from my card, and another for my hubby on his card. She said,”No problem.” So I did! Did the Speed Stick deal, along with the Pro Clinical Toothepaste. Got a ton of coupons from the machine as well as ECBs back. Used some on the paper towels. Had a great day at CVS and Doll Gen, however I still haven’t made it to Publix and tried Sat and Sun!!! YIKES!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just wanted to UPDATE that I went to another CVS today and got my Cover Girl Wet Slicks lip glosses!! Again, the register beeped. The cashier looked the coupon over, shrugged her shoulders, put the price in manually and pushed my coupons right through without even batting an eye. I now know which CVS I’m going to from now on………

Oh! AND I got those Renuzit Crystal Elements for .99 each! There was only one on the shelf. I asked if they had any more and my cashier went into the back and brought them out. The Ruby Berries smells amazing!

Thanks for your kind replies and good luck!!!

      • Tara

Same experience with the lip gloss. The manager said it had to be a face product. She wouldn’t override it and told me the problem was that I used too many coupons. I hate trips like that!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I hate trips like that too. Total waste of time having to deal with people who power-trip over a friggin coupon. Don’t give up. Keep trying other stores until you get what you came there for.

        • AM

Same here, they shoft manager said it had to be the product pictured so the lip gloss beeped and they would not take it 🙁

I just got 3 Nivea body washes. The men’s is on sale for $4.99. The ladies is on sale $5.99 each plus if you spend $15 you get $5 CVS bucks back. I used my coupons from the happy hour and from the paper allowing the 3 bottles to cost me $2.00. Yippee!!!

    Hershey’s Extra Large Bar 4-4.4 oz. Buy 1 at $1.99 Get 1 for $0.01
Buy 2 Hershey’s Extra Dark Chocolate Bars
Use 2 $1/1 coupons from the 4/18 SS
    Final Cost FREE!

The cashier would not let me do this since she said I could not use a BOGO coupon on basically a BOGO deal. UGGH!!!!!!!!!!

    • Amy

Has anyone had any luck finding these Extra Dark bars anywhere??? I LOVE dark chocolate (especially when it’s free!!!).

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can’t seem to find them. I only see the special dark ones. =(

    • Tobi

I’ve had this issue in the past and sent an email to CVS. They replied that you CAN use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale and get both items for free (plus any applicable sales tax). I printed out the email/response and carry it with me now.

i luv you guys and your wealth of information and tricks! Now I have a question about the Super Coupon Machine. I went to CVS every day last week trying to get it to print me out the M & M couopn, but it never did. I just kept getting coupons for the same thing: CVS hair care. Is there a secret? Should I go more or less? Should I buy more or less? Why do some ppl get 1 coupon, and some another?

    • Joy

Same with me! Ha! Does anyone know a good deal to get with the “Save $1 on any CVS/pharmacy Hair Care items, excluding Trial Sizes.” Does that mean a CVS brand only? What about one that says “$1 off any CVS/pharmacy Brand Facial Skin Care.”?

    • Joy

Ha, me too! Anyone know what to do with the “$1 CVS hair care ones” or the “$1 CVS Skin Care”? Does that mean CVS brand only? Thanks for some deal yips!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Joy, “$1 off CVS hair care” coupons are still great because you can get a full size bottle of CVS shampoo for FREE (they are $0.99).

        • Joy

Thanks for answering me! I was going to toss it. Any idea for the $1 off CVS skin care? Thanks Anonymous!

      • Michelle M

I’ve heard you can use the $1 CVS hair care on ANY hair care item in the store, because the coupon does not say “CVS Brand hair care”, which would apply differently. I’m going to try this coupon on my free Aussie to see if I can make $1 from it!

        • Joy

          Thanks Michelle!! Good luck!

        • Melissa R.

I disagree. It says CVS haircare, which to me implies any CVS brand of haircare, not name brands like Aussie, Pantene, etc. CVS distributes products under different names like Viologie, Fruitopia, Essence of Beauty, Blade that the haircare item will work for. For it to be used on ANY haircare, the coupon would not have said CVS haircare.

          • Erin

I don’t think CVS carries hair care products under the CVS brand name. Many customers would not know that Viologie, Fruitopia, or Essence of Beauty are CVS brands, so if that’s what they meant, that’s what the coupon would say. And I have received coupons with those particular brands specifically mentioned. Also, I have noticed the coupon machine coupons have been matching up with ECB sales ($2/2 body wash or bar soaps, for example), so I don’t think it’s accidental on CVS’s part. But kudos to you for thinking so carefully about coupons before using them. Many people really try push the limits with coupon use (see lips/face argument above 😉 ).

    • Sandra

From what I understand, after you’ve gotten your quota of “special coupons” for the week from the coupon machine, it will continue to print the same 1 or 2 for the rest of the week.

      • Debra

But I never got my M & M coupon, and now i don’t think the Magic Coupon Machines are printing them anymore 🙁

  24. Crystal

This will be my first time with an over-value coupon at CVS. I have (6) $1 coupons for the Dawn Hand Renewal. How does overage work at CVS? Will the coupons be adjusted down? Will overage go onto my other items in that transaction (toothpaste, razor, soap, etc.)? Should I buy a couple bottles extra to avoid any beeping (8 bottles to make it $6.xx and then use 6 of the $1 coupons)? Any suggestions?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

With the manufacter’s coupons, they will beep if it’s over the price of the item. I’ve never had to say anything, the cashier’s always know to adjust it down. The only way I’ve really seen to get overage is with the CVS store coupons.

    • Shelly T.

I think it depends on your store/cashier. I used the Dawn coupons last night for three of the Dawn, the first two went through okay, but the third one beeped. The cashier pushed it through, but someone else may not. I have also had the manager check me out at this same CVS and he will adjust the coupon down. So it really just depends. Good luck!

      • Crystal

Thanks, guys! I’m headed there tomorrow morning to see; it’s okay by me either way, but of course, overage is always welcomed. Hopefully, they won’t be all sold out of everything.

Can anyone please tell me because I honestly don’t know the answer and don’t want to be deceitful or cheat CVS, etc:
If I bought the Bayer Diabetic Meter yesterday ($19) and used my $10 off coupon, along with my ECBs, is it legal (illegal??) to return it? Thanks for any advice/opinions.

    • Janae C

Not sure about the meter’s, but usually returning items should NOT be a problem. If you received ecbs for purchasing it, make sure you bring those with you.
I once saw a lady trying to return an item and over-heard the manager ask her “where are the ecb’s that you received?”. The lady was clearly trying to scam the store by taking the ecb’s and then returning the product for a full refund.
But, returning an item under any other circumstance is NOT illegal. Their policy might be different being that it’s a meter, or if it’s opened (I don’t know)…. I would call the store before making the drive though, so you don’t waste gas. And get the name of the person you talk to so you can reference the call.

      • Mrs K

I would say that it depends on the cashier. I bought something that I thought was on sale and when I got home and looked at the receipt (mental note: Always look at the receipt Before leaving the store), I realized that I was charged more than I thought I should have been. The next day I returned to the store with my receipt and the product. The cashier said that he could only refund me the cash that I spent — not the ECB that I had used to purchase the product. I just said “no thank you” and left. I paid with a $5 ECB and only getting back 27 cents would Not have been worth it to me. BUT, it sounds like there are A LOT of really nice CVS cashiers out there (just not at the CVS near me). 🙂

    • Janae C

Also, I’m not sure they will give you money back for the $10 off coupon. You might just get back the amount spent in ecb’s and cash. ????

    • Renee

No, they will give you a full refund b/c you paid w/coupons & your ecbs, which they still have. They have your coupon-money & will give you cash, no harm done. I try not to make a habit of it, but if I must return something, I will.
      Great advice from Janae C

  26. Nikki

The ageless vitality rebate is now $20!! And if you look on the CVS website, there are products listed for 19.99. So could this be a money maker?? Am I missing something?

  27. Shelly T.

I have a question. I have a CVS coupon from the kiosk that says “Save $1 off 2 CVS brand Earth Essentials cleaning items”. Anyone have any ideas on what products to use this on for a good deal? Thanks!
