I didn’t order tape; I ordered school supplies for my kiddo who starts kindergarten this fall. I’m due around the same time school starts, and on bedrest right now… so it saved me a bunch of running around for deals. But mine came quickly – except now that I think about it… I think I may still be missing a piece of my order… it all came in several different boxes on several different days…
I ordered Crayola Window markers, erasable colored pencils and 24 Crayola drawing/color tablets and I got my order at least a week (maybe two weeks) ago. My almost-2 year old and I had lots of fun decorating her bedroom windows 🙂 I’m impressed with Dollar Days!! They honored their promotion and they had speedy shipping despite a huge number of orders.

I went small and recently did the tape deal at Walgreen’s with coupons and the tear pad coupons near the tape. Scored 6 rolls of tape and 6 greeting cards for .06 plus tax on the purchase….sweet! I’ve never tried any of the gift card deals and so I was wondering how they work. Do you have to tell the cash register person that you get a gift card or how does it work?
The register automatically prompts for the cashier to scan a giftcard and it tells them the amount.

My ad says “buy any TWO Aveeno, get $5 gift card” 🙁 I really needed sunblock.

I was just there, and the sign DOES say $10 gift card back~ BUT, it did not notify the cashier when I checked out. SO, I had to go to the service desk and have it taken care of. Not sure if it’s correct or not, but the sign IS there!!! And it does state the correct info on the sign, as well. So, I bought both for $8.99 each (17.98), used 2 $1.00 Target coupons, and 1 $3.00 of two~ Total came to $12.98~ $10 GC back = 2.98….. Is this right???
According to Collin’s post, that’s what it reads in the ad, but some stores are giving $10 GC, not $5. You just have to find out which one your store is giving.

i just got back from my Target and the sign read a $5 gift card after a purchase of two so I didn’t try it.
I’m in the same boat… plus, the sunblock was $10, not 8.99. Oh well, with summer coming there are bound to be good deals coming.
Even if you only get the $5 card, $3.99 each is pretty good darn good for Aveeno.
I’m a little upset. I tried to print my Aveeno coupons from RecycleBank and it says it printed but it didn’t. I called them and she said all she can do is refund my points or mail me a coupon which wouldn’t get here in time. 🙁 I guess it won’t be that great a deal now.
You could always make your purchase, save your receipt, and when you get the coupon by mail, take both back to the store. They should honor the coupon….worth a try!
If I had known that I would have tried. I just had them credit the points back to my account. I guess I’ll know for next time.
I’ve taken my receipt in after the fact and had a non expired coupon applied with no problem at target. So you could have them mail your coupon.
I got this deal at Target but the register did not prompt any gift card, so I had to go back and get the sign that stated it and the manager just decucted the $10 from my total.

The coupon I have states on any 2 active naturals aveeno products. Cannot be used on the sunblock gc deal. Would have been great!

Grrr. The cashier wasn’t too friendly, and I was overwhelmed with 2 toddlers in my cart, that I didn’t pay too much attention to the wording on the sunblock. I’ll have to try again later today!
Looks as if some of the sunblock is active naturals and some isn’t. I just got back from a Target trip and took note. For instance, there is a SPF 30 for faces is labeled active naturals and a SPF 55 that is not. Hope it helps!
It is still a great deal even without the recyclebank q’s (I had used mine a couple weeks ago at Walgreens when they had the big Aveeno sale). So yesterday I bought 2 @ $8.99 each, used 2 $1 off Target q’s and 2 $1 off manf q’s. And got the $10 “gift card” (the register didn’t actually prompt for the g.c. so manager had to just give me $10 back). Also the sunscreen I got has a small bottle of lotion attached. So less than $2 a piece!
I’ve seen online that the bonus packs may not be working right.
If you are not sure if the product is included or what the gift amount will be, use the price checker, it will say if it’s part of the gift card deal and the amount usually.
Gosh, the TQ exp. 5/10! No time to waste on this deal.

I just bought my sunblock and got the $10 gc this morning. I don’t think the sign said $10, but I was going to buy the sunblock and get the $5 gc so it was a nice surprise when the cashier handed me a $10 gc:) I am in South Jersey.
I’ve bought my sunscreen the last two years at the 99 Cent Only store!!! Check the expiration dates but I’ve gotten some that is $10-$15 retail!!
If you’re wanting the top rated sunscreen as tested by the “you know who’ independent co., the number one brand last season was Target-sepcifically Up Up Sport Continuous Spray SPF 30. And it’s very budget friendly.
The only kind I will be buying when we head to Sanibel Island in 2 wks. 🙂

there are specific ones you have to get, it’s not “any” and it states that on the signs.
This will be my first “sun season” couponing and my husband has Lupus… he is VERY sensative to the sun so I will be on the look out for sunblock for him as he must use it like lotion daily on his whole body! Thanks for the help!
I hate to recommend something this expensive on a coupon site, but I am seriously sun allergic & what works best for me is L’Oreal Ombrelle. There’s a face SPF 45 that’s not too goopy & hasn’t failed me yet. I’d also recommend the lip balm. Price check around on-line.

For your husband, with Lupus, I highly recommend the Neutrogena brands that has the SPF of 100 or higher. There is a deal starting either 5/15 or 5/21 at Walgreens on these and you can print $2/1 coupons from the manufacturer site.
Does the Up and Up Sport burn their eyes if they get it into them? I love the Aveeno becuase it smells so good and it’s so mild. Our Target only had one sign in the Health and Beauty. Just wondering if it for the continuous Spray Aveeno too? My store in SD didn’t mind me using the $3/2 at all. Good luck with the deals! Thanks Collin for all you do.
Has anyone tried the Aveeno deal in north Texas?
I did and it worked just fine for me. I bought one Aveeno Sun $9.94 and one Aveeno Sun $8.99 (one was for face and one was for body) and I received a $10.00 Gift Card. I used two Target $1.00 off coupons (one from the beauty bag mailer and one IP from Target sight) and a $3.00/2 manufacture coupon from the 4/17 SS. I also did the scissor deal, used two coupons and got to pair of scissors for $0.49 each! (They look like nice scissors)
Just did the Aveeno sunscreen in Beaverton, OR. Sign said $10 GC and worked perfect at the register.
Just wanted to post a quick warning. I am in Illinois. My store had the $10 gift card signage, but nothing was prompted when I rang up. The assistant mgr. tried to argue with me that it was a $5 g.c. and actually had someone go back and look. This person came back and said it was also $5. They gave me my $5, but I wasn’t convinced that it wasn’t a $10 g.c. so I went to check. Long story short, I was right. I actually had to walk the manager back to the shelving to point out the signs. Grrr… But, I did end up with the $10.

Found mine in the 3/27 SS in Eugene Or. there was 2 different smart source inserts that Sunday so make sure you check both.
In Eugene Oregon they have only the $5 gift card posted if you buy 2 aveeno products. went ahead and did the deal anyway since we needed sunscreen and bought 2 70 spf active naturals spray sunscreen 5 oz each at $9.94 each. Total 19.88 used 2 $1/1 Target coupons and 1 $3/2 aveeno active naturals coupon so paid 14.88 checked out got my gift card and on the way out checked my reciept and they gave me the $10 gift card that others have been reporting even though it was only $5 that was posted right by the sunscreen. after gift card $2.44 each. SCORE

Can you use 2 Target coupons, since they state only one per transaction?
It depends on your store. My store in NV doesn’t mind, they don’t even notice. If I have two Aveeno products in my cart, they will let me use two Target coupons in the same transaction. It’s worth a try so you know how your store works. Just make sure you always hand over the manufacturer coupons first so the register doesn’t beep.

Here in Northern CA, our prices are higher, so it was $10.00 for the 3 oz. sunscreen, or $10.79 for the 4 oz. sunscreen, with a GC for $10, but for single tubes only, not for the bonus ones.
Jo-Ann, I’m in Northern, CA too and I went to my Hayward store and the 4oz baby sunscreen rang up $8.99 at this store. They are also givign out $10 GC for every purchase of too. They had bonus ones at my store too but I decided to get the ones without the sample size since I didn’t want any hassle.
Thanks for the Aveeno tip! I called ahead, and indeed it is a $10 gift card, so I clipped and rushed out at 9:30 tonight! My daughter is on meds for acne, and has to have something good for her face, and sun is BAD while on these meds. Anyway, the sign was only under the baby sun products, but the $10 card only worked with the non-baby sunblock. Anyway, they let me have one of each. I’m happy! Thanks. BTW there weren’t many left at my Target, so hurry!
It IS $10 target gift card! But the sign was only under the baby sunblock, and the deal only worked for the NON baby sunblock. They worked it out for me and let me have one ofeach. I I had 2x target $1/1 coupons and the $3/2 mfg. – had to pay tax on full price, so $1.62 each for a quality product!
Went last night and got this deal. Yes, it is a 10 gift card offer. The 3 off 2 coupon is for absent active naturals so I got those instead of the baby ones I was planning on purchasing
This was a total nighmare deal. The baby sunblock stick had signage but would not prompt for the gift card. Cashier was adamant it had to be in the ad. I explained the sign showed the baby block sticks. She tried to tell me sorry but no go. I insisted on a manager and went and pulled the sign myself. He hemed and hawed but eventually gave me the $10 card. (AFTER about 30 minutes) I am sure the sign will be gone now. This is the first time I have EVER had a problem with Target honoring their own signage. At least I won on this one. I really needed the sun block and the sticks are awesome for little ones.
There is another scissors coupon on target.com! This one doesn’t expire until 12/31! Two pairs of scissors for .49 cents? Yes please!

After LONG hassle In my west michigan store….I came out triumphant! With two babies and a mailman for a husband we need all the sunblock we can get! Mine were $9.99 though..so $2.50 each with free sample attached!
I tried the Aveeno deal in my Southfield, MI store and the GC rang up at $5. Because I had read this blog before going to Target today, I took a picture of the sign with my phone and when the GC rang up incorrectly, I showed them the picture. The manager said she could only give me an additional $5 credit on my bill and I said okay. Either way, I got the $10 discount so I was happy. The picture of the sign really, really helped so thanks for the heads up everyone!
Same thing happened to me in Milwaukee, WI. The sign on the shelf advertised a $10 gc but the registered wanted to give me $5. The cashier stated that the $5 gc is what’s shown in the ad, to which I pointed out there are multiple signs on the shelf advertising $10.
The head cashier ultimately gave me an additional $5 off my purchase. Turns out she was aware of the conflicting signage and had asked someone to remove it – glad they didn’t get to it before I got there!
I went to the target in Paramus, NJ and got the $10 gift card no problem. Which is awesome, since this is the only brand of sunblock that doesn’t make my husbands skin breakout. Luckily I have 3 of the $3/2 coupons, so I’ll be doing this deal two more times this week, I kinda feel bad, but they were well stocked, and it’s such a good deal for a product that we use every year I cant pass it up! 🙂
I just did this today, and I used 4 $1/1 TQ and a $2/1 MQ from recyclebank along with a $3/2 aveeno active naturals and a $2.50/1 MQ that I got in the mail from Aveeno. I bought 3 active naturals sunblocks and 1 aveeno baby sunblock and it came out to 7.50 for all 4 after gift cards! awesome!

Hey Collin! My Target in Wichita, KS has the $5 GC only. However, they were having issues with getting the gift card to come up for me so they gave me a $6 “Sorry” voucher that I was able to use immediately! Worked out for the best for me!!
I went to another target in my area. This time I got the $5 gift card but I took a picture of the sign just in case, even though the first target I went to I got the $10 gift card (weird!?). Anyway, I didnt realize it until after I paid and checked my receipt so I went to the constomer service desk and they gave me 2 $3 vouchers to use on my next purchase! Sweet! Going to try this deal one more time on Saturday, I wanted to give other people a shot at it before I took two more bottles, even though it is the only suntan lotion my husband can use, i felt bad buying 6 in 1 day. Yesterday I went to the Bee Caves store in Austin, Texas. There sign said $5 gc for 2. So today I decided to go to Super Target off of Slaughter/Cullen and they had the sign $10 gc for 2…however…like many of you have said it only gave a $5 gc at the register…but I too took a picture of the sign. They ended up giving me 2 apology Q ($6)…plus I had 2 of the Aveeno Q’s from Recycle Bank. With all the Q’s, gift card & apology bucks: .98 cents total. YAY!!! Thanks, Collin!
