I think you actually just get a $1 off coupon now and not a coupon for a free tub.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Not avail anymore…only $1.00 off coupon 🙁

  3. Araaidan

No coupon if you already got the tub :(, bummer… my family LOVES these!

Please do not use the term “Snail Mail”. I happen to work for the United States Postal Service and I do take offense to that term. We work hard to move the mail around the United States and around the entire world, and I happen to “KNOW” that we in fact do a darn good job at it!!!!!! We are the best Postal Service in the world….Thank You

I dont think she means because the mail is slow. Its just that so many coupons are printables and we get access to the coupon instantly vs one we get in the mail.

    • Rachael

You shouldn’t take offense to it, she didn’t mean any harm. We all know you guys work very hard! I use the same term just because it isn’t an email or something you can print off right away. You would have to be superhuman to get us that mail instantly.

    • Rebecca K.

Please don’t take this as an insult. The term “snail mail” actually refers to any kind of “paper mail” verses electronic mail (email). Email takes seconds to minutes to reach it’s destination verses paper mail taking a day to a week or more depending on the distance. Email will never replace paper mail though b/c we will always need to physically send things. 🙂

Almost every single one of the USPS employees that I have met are fabulous. Thank you for your service!! I am sure it’s not an easy job as there are many crabby customers out there. Do you have another term that we can use (other than snail-mail)? Although the USPS works hard to get us our mail (and frankly that ones in my area are VERY helpful), email is definitely lightning fast. So, I can see how the term snail-mail to describe everyday ordinary mail became a standard term. Is there another catchy term that we can use so we won’t offend any of the hard working and helpful USPS employees? Also, is it your experience that many people at the USPS get offended by the term snail-mail? I’ve never thought about that term being offensive (silly me!). Since I have had anyone say it was offensive, your post is the first time I’ve even thought about it! I’m sure Collin never meant to offend anyone. She seems much to sweet to do anything to hurt anyone. Thanks for your insight!

      Hi all!

I just about died when I saw Sandra’s post, as I was going to comment on the same thing! I don’t think that Collin was trying to offend. It is a common term. I am also a USPS employee (for 20 years). It is an offensive term, although most of us don’t take it too seriously (unless a customer is hateful and using it in a derogatory fashion)! It is similar to being called a “mailman” when clearly I am a woman! Or when you are in Walgreen’s and someone says, “Look, one of those crazy coupon ladies!” (I just smile at all the money Collin is helping me save!)

I think it is offensive because some people do feel that we have a “cushy” government job. It was so nice to see all of the nice comments. People tend to forget that when you are all snuggly warm in your house on those snow days, we are trudging through the snow with cold, wet feet–usually trying to get to a mailbox that a snowplow has buried in the snow or trying to steer away from the ditch… or those days when it is 90+ and we have literally a 5 inch fan in those hotbox LLVs to “cool” us as we pour our bottles of cold water down our legs to try to cool off and so as not to overheat.

Believe me, just like any other job, we have bad eggs. Some people who move at a snail’s pace, but some of us greet our customers by name. We know their kids, grandkids, birthdays, and when it looks like they may be out of town and forgot to let us know. Perhaps, just using US Mail would be less offensive? Thank you again to all of you who posted kind comments! We really do try! If you didn’t get your coupon, package, or check today-I didn’t receive it, because I would have gladly delivered it! Thanks for using the USPS!

What a nice post! Thank you for letting us know what it is like to work for the USPS and for being so positive in your post. I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow and that the weather in your town is a perfectly sunny 70 degree kind-of day (and that every person you meet smiles at you and says “thank you!”).

      • sarah

Thank you Mary B for addressing this in a kind & courteous manner. I would be thrilled to have you as my “mail lady” 🙂 (We have a female mail carrier & that’s what we call her. My kids were actually surprised to find out that some people actually have a “mail man”).

Thank you also for showing that there are 2 ways to respond to every situation. You can respond with a chip on your shoulder which usually just stir up anger & does not gain you the respect you were looking for or you can respond with kind words that will cause others to respect you. I hope you have a wonderful day Mary B! 🙂

  7. Lydia

Wow. I thought Sandra was going to “go postal”…. (btw, that was just a joke…) 🙂

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i’ve gotten this deal before. i got a coupon for a free tub and also sent my friend in NY a coupon for a free tub. $1 coupon is still great because the wipes are only around $2 or so. With a sale, it could be a great deal.

  9. Emily

I think every crazy coupon lady in my area got one of the free tub ones cause I got mine and can not find them anywhere under 2.69, which is the price stated on the q that they won’t go over

  10. amie

CVS had them for 1.99 last week, I had a few coupons because you could print them off awhile back! I picked up a couple tubs!
