I wish the mcdonalds in my area have them, they don’t!!

  2. Jessa

When do these expire? I’m still working on my Wendy’s Halloween smoothie booklets!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

lol me too and they expire feb 2! I have 3 kids and each were given one book, this week the nite I didn’t use a coupon they asked where the ice-cream is lol

      • Lori

My Wendy’s Halloween coupons expire on 02/01/11

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My wendy’s told me they never expire when I bought them! You might want to ask your store?

  3. Audra

So if I go thru the drive thru and don’t have the kid in the card do you think they will still take them?

    • Kimberly

My local McDonald’s won’t — they always ask if you have a child under 12 with you. It’s not a problem for me since I always have my 2 year old daughter with me.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think you would be fine if there wasn’t a child under 12 with you. I have redeemed similar ones from Halloween and Christmas without any issue that way.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Maybe it’s YMMV on that one after reading the other poster’s comments. Hmmm.

    • melissa

all the mcdonalds around where i live will take them even if you dont have a kid with you. Ive gone in with like 8 of the milk coupons without my daughter and i just stock up on the milk and apples for snacks in the fridge. Never had a problem.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’ll have to ask. A few of the McDs here will take the coupon without kids, and will allow me to use up to 3 at a time (a complete meal for my daughter). Other McDs will not let me use them without a kid or multiple at a time. And the same McD can react differently depending on which manager is on duty. It’s very non-standardized.

Yeah! I got some of these at halloween and definitely got our moneys worth. I also saw at our local Chick-fil-a last week that they too have valentine’s cards, good for a free kids cone. I did notice though that they were only valid at that particular store, so not sure if all locations have these.

    • elyse s

The chickfila ones are also a little more expensive. Our store had the 10 coupons for a kids dreamcone for $5, so 50 cents a cone. However I totally love chickfila.

  5. stephanie

This is perfect for my son’s kindergarten class! $12 out of pocket for me and that’s about what the cards and candy would cost anyway. Great deal!

    • christina s

      Sounds like a plan 🙂

  6. christina s

Do we know what the expiration date is on them?

    • Sue

I bought them and they say they expire 5/31/11

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

where do you live? can’t find them in my area.

        • Sue

I live in the Pittsburgh PA area. Sometimes you just need to ask if they have them.

  7. melissa

when i bought them in previous years they normally expire april or may.

  8. elyse s

I have a really cute kids craft that can be given to a parent or grandparent. Use 4 popsicle sticks to create a frame, allow the child to glue conversation hearts around the frame, glue a picture onto the back, and wrap in tissue paper. It comes out really cute and my kids are always excited to give them out. You can make about 10 of them for $2.

  9. Leslie

Where are you finding these coupons? None of my area McD’s has them!

  10. Mitch

Considering how much my almost 8 year old eats, this is great. My son is big, not chubby like me, and sometimes eats more than I do.
    And loves McD’s!
    thanks for this!

these are def. worth the deal. i’ll buy a book for my kids and they feed my daughter with them (my son is only 10 months old) when we visit McDs!

  12. Amanda

I cannot seem to find these anywhere… if anyone in the tampa area has found them, can they please let me know 🙂

  13. Vivienne

So do you have to buy something to get the item for free?

    • christina s

      Nope!

  14. Erica Dls

I bought one last year around spring time and they have ober a year expration date! They come in handy BIG TIME! 🙂
    GREAT BUY!!!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

These would be great to give to my son’s teacher to hand out as treats (tear off individual ones to have 12 treats per book) to the kids when they do something special. (For example, when they don’t get their name on the board all week.)

  16. RK

Will someone buy some for me and send them to me, pretty please…I will paypal you the money (including shipping/handling) today!

    • Latasha

      It wouldn’t work if your local McD’s isn’t participating. . . .

      • RK

My McD’s said they would accept them but they aren’t selling them…

  17. ashley

Has anyone found these in utah?

    • Jolene

      I’m wondering the same thing!

      • Kaylene

I have called a bunch of stores and none of them are…

  18. Linda

Will these coupon books be honored in Germany? Know a couple of kids in Germany that would love this.

  19. Liseluv

I have called three MD already and no one has them…darn!!

  20. Sondra

I have only found two McDonald’s that sell these coupon booklets (in Cary, NC). They sell them for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween & Christmas. You can’t beat an 0.08 cent hamburger or ice cream cone! I’ve bought extra and given them to homeless people I see begging on street corners. (That way I don’t have to worry if I give them money, they might use it to buy drugs or alcohol.) The store manager said he would honor the coupons even after they’ve expired! The two locations that sell the booklets are much more liberal in redeeming coupons, allowing an adult to use even multiple coupons without having a child with. However, other McD’s often will only allow one coupon per visit. However, BEWARE of buying these booklets and sending them to family & friends in other locations that don’t sell the booklets. Not all states or locations accept the coupons; it is totally up to local management. (As the back of the coupon states something like “Valid at participating McDonald’s”, which means not all locations choose to participate.) But we’ve been very lucky in being able to redeem these coupons while traveling on vacation in areas of Tennessee, North & South Carolina and Florida.

  21. Jessica

I’ve called 10 McD’s and no one here in Portland seems to be selling them. Let me know if anyone knows of a place around here that is! Thanks-

    • Amye

I went to a McDonalds in Salem yesterday and no luck! They said something about McDonalds being owned by different people. I’m gonna keep looking cause this would be amazing!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anyone have any luck finding them in Virginia?

    • Jill

I was wondering the same thing! Need to start calling around, I guess. I asked at one McD’s today and they said they didn’t have any.

    • ruth

i live in Northern Virginia (D.C. suburbs) and about 25% of the McD’s here *DO* sell them–but they *all* accept them! I have 4 kids, and we’ve been “living” off these things for our McDonald’s visits for about a year. McD’s issues them obo. 4 times a year, and each set expires around the time they issue another set. I buy 4 for each of my kids (initially $16 oop) and then we use them for the next 3 months, whenever we visit McD’s. That’s 192 menu items for $16. Holla! Several of the McD’s in Fairfax county have them, for sure, and they often still have them *after* the holiday, so don’t be afraid to ask, for the next week or so, even after the 14th. Good luck! p.s. it’s also become my antidote to the “Can we get Happy Meals???” question. I ust whip out the coupons and say, “I can’t afford Happy Meals, but we *do* have coupons! If you kids have money, you can buy one, but I only have coupons today!”

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve called 2 mcd’s in northern atl and they don’t sell them…anyone have any luck in the area finding them!?!?

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

McDonalds on Mountain in Ontario CA has them for $2 a book. 🙂 The Chino McDs aren’t selling them. 🙁

  25. Eileen

Generally, the stores that are owned by the company are the ones that carry them. There are many areas where the McDonald’s stores are owner-operated (where the owner bought into the franchise)….these stores don’t necessarily have the same promotions or coupons that the company-owned stores have.

  26. Kaylene

I have called the nearest Mcdonalds around me (in Utah) and all of them are not participating. 🙁 darn, I really wanted these! O well I guess
