If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. …And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.

Also, as most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy. You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.

Thank you! I think it’s a great week for Walgreens sales and I appreciate you doing the hard work of putting together this list!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are most welcome! 🙂

  2. lindaayeo

You are so wonderful to all of us, Collin. I’m always so excited when your deals show up on your website. Thanks a million!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! 🙂

  3. Cody

I was hoping somebody could help me out regarding the sale on Coke products and the register reward deal. I have a bunch of coupons for free Coke 12 packs from My Coke Rewards and I was wondering if I used them, does that total count towards the $20? Just wanted to check and see if anyone had tried this. Thanks!

    • all4saving

You should be able to use free coupons

    • Ashley

      It would still count!!

    • Rachael

It definitely counts b/c I used mine last time they were running this deal on Coke and Planters. I bought 3 12 packs of coke and used 3 free Qs. I still got the free 8 pack and the RR

    • Jessica

How can I get coupons from My Coke Rewards? I have tons of points online, but was not sure how to get the coupons from them.

      • Ashley57

They are in the rewards section. A free 20 oz is around 40 pts, and it goes up from there.

      • Susan

        Maybe this will help:
On the MyCokeRewards.com website, go to rewards and pick Coca-Cola, then narrow to the points range 101-250. You need to redeem 250 points for each 12 pack. Look around though, there may be other things you would like.

      • Shannon

On the main page, there’s a search box in the right hand corner. Search for “coupon” (not coupons) and scroll down. Towards the bottom, you’ll see a coupon for “free 12 pack sparkling coupon”

    • R. M.

i hope this reaches you in time , in regards of wanting to use your free high value coupons on sale items is a no go. i fought with the idea myself and decided to hold on to my free twelve packs that expire in june for rainly days when coke is not on sale anywhere. and instead i chose to use register rewards towards my transaction hope this helps.

    • debra

Just a heads up it takes FOREVER to receive your coupons from them. I think mine took several months! I generally try and grap their coupons on a wednesday when they are reduced in points.

      • Melissa

So, if I understand you correctly, Debra, Coke coupons cost fewer Coke reward points every Wednesday?

        • Sarah

The way I understand it, they have specials on Wednesdays but I don’t think the coke necessarily goes on “sale” every wednesday. I grabbed my coupons on a Wednesday that they did, but I think it changes weekly what they put on special.

  4. Jessica Ann Gulledge

I found a great deal on my clearance aisle! They had some of their Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Hair Foam on sale for $4.98. I paired this with the $2 and $3 off coupons. So I snagged four boxes of hair color for $2.98 and $1.98!! Thank you for teaching me little tricks like that!

    • Caroline

I only use the Clairol hair color. A couple of weeks ago I got an awesome deal using RR and coupons – $.75 for four colors and a 24 pack of water. I dyed my hair a deep purple – my family freaked out but I love it. Clairol is the only brand I am truly loyal to.

    • Misty

If you’re looking for hair color, you might want to check out your local CVS. They almost always have hair dye for $2.75 clearance — making them less than a dollar a box! (My local CVS just had huge clearance on Clariol.)

      • Jessica Ann Gulledge

I sadly, don’t have a CVS near me. It is a 45 min drive to the nearest. =\ Thanks for the tip, next time I am near one, I will stop in!

  5. Faith

Does anyone have the link for the colgate rebate? It would be much appreciated!! Thanks so much collin!! U are awesome!!

    • brooke

      its over:( i think….lol

  6. Jennifer

Anyone try the Nice trash bags yet? I would love to know how good they are before buying.

    • Rachel

I’m using them right now for our kitchen trash, and they work just as well as any other brand I’ve tried. I have the drawstring closure 13-gallon size. No complaints! I will be buying more at this price.

    • Haley

I’ve tried the nice trash bags. they’re ok… not necessarily awesome, but they’re ok. I have a trash can that has a square opening at top, and the Nice bags always rip on the last corner when I put them on the can. The rip doesn’t get any bigger once I pull it out of the can, when it’s full, but I’ve never had other brands rip on the corner. All that said, for the $1.99 price, I will likely buy them again. I just hate spending money on something that is intended to be thrown away! haha Hope that helps! 🙂

    • Jessica

I use them all the time. When they are on sale I stock up on them. I have never had any issues with using them.

    • Heather

I don’t like them 🙁 I have a square top to my trash can too and they all ripped. I caught the Staples deal on their trash bags and they are a much better quality.

    • tashashayla

I am using them right now. I have a square top trash can too and my only complaint is that the trash bags don’t stay around the top, they fall right into the trash can the minute we throw something away. My solution: I found a large rubber band to secure it at the top and never had any problems since. At $1.99, I will be stocking up as well. 🙂

    • Lisa

I stocked up on them last time and I have no complaints about them. They work as good as any other brand. Hope that helps 🙂

    • Jennifer

Thanks for the response – will give them a try!

  7. wags ba

i work for wags and i had a lady try to pass off photocopied coupons on the carefree liners they were photocopied from sundays paper and she tried to say they were printed online but there was no coupon .com or redplum .com no website and they were the size of the sunday ones i just hope none of u guys do that because i know most of us on here for honest legitmate couponers and i know colin is always very honest needless to say she threw a fit wit me and screamed my manager told her the same thing

    • Trinity

That’s so horrible! Sometimes I’m really shocked by people like this. You’re not going to be able to get EVERY single sale, but you will get it at some point. So, what’s the point of trying to pass off coupons such as this lady? It really gives us all a bad name! Grrrr!!

      • wags ba

yah it was quite funny though cuz me and my manager are both couponers so i knew it wasnt valid but i had them verify and he said same thing it was real sad casue how many did she need that she had to photcopy them from the sunday paper she could have mine if she needed them that bad i dont use the product and have 6 of them left lol

        • mizzy

i’m just glad you guys caught it. I would rather buy coupons than photocopy them.

    • Brianna

This happens all the time at my target! I will have people try and use them! Unfortunately as we have self check out a lot will get away with it

      • jiya

people like these make things hard for us.

  8. jeanie

Good week at Walgreens! Thanks for the match ups!

  9. Sarah Flowers

so excited 🙂 i’m planning on rolling the kotex deal with the kettle chips. weird combo, but i need both of those items lmao

  10. Rachel

    Collin,

Today I tried to use a $1 coupon on a 99cent product (because their coupon policy says you can) and I was rejected and told they had JUST been trained on not accepting anymore coupons like that. I called and talked to a manager and she supported what the employee said. She said corporate just hadn’t updated their coupon policy online. I contacted corporate and am now waiting on a response. The girl overrode the coupon beep and I told the manager, technically, the cashier illegally obtained 2 cents (1cent for each coupon) from the manufacturer and that is a scary legal issue to me. The manager said “but it is just two cents” and I told her….but there are millions of couponers doing the same thing and THAT is not “Just 2 cents”.

A very frustrating morning there….. If you want, I can give you what I’ve sent Walgreens and what they end up responding with…….

    • Mae :o)

Thanks Rachel for relaying your experience to corp!! …and do let us all know what their explanation for such wacky dealings on this topic is.

    • Grace

I don’t understand, how did they illegally obtain 2 cents if they rejected your coupon?

      • mel

she said the girl overrode her coupon. those .02 add up for every coupon that gets adj down (and it doesn’t matter if the cashier writes over it, the coupons are still redeemed at full value)

        • Rachel

Right! I tried to explain that to the manager I spoke with and she said it wasn’t much, but when you add all of us up together those 2cents become thousands!

    • Shelby

So when they price adjust the coupon say to .99 from 1.00, do they write that on the coupon for when they send it to the manufacturer? I was just wondering because if they don’t write that on the coupon, then they are getting reimbursed 1.00 when they only allowed us to use .99

      • Rachel

I know this is confusing….I couldn’t explain it well enough for the manager to understand me!

Basically, their current corporate policy states they will “price down” a coupon that exceeds the product price. That would mean they are requesting the specific amount it was used to purchase the item.

However, now the manager is saying corporate just changed the coupon policy to not “price down” coupons.

  11. Nicole

My ad says that there is a limit of 3 on the coke 12pks???

    • carmen

My store lets you buy as many as you want to reach the $20 and get the $10 back. I had no problems doing it. I was needing the drinks for a party so I was going to buy more than 3 anyways and already had them in the buggy. They just rung them all together and it did give me the RR.

  12. ashley

So I decided to stop on my way home today just to use the $1.00/2 Mars Candy coupon. I didn’t know that the candy was gonna be .39 but when I got there, everything was already marked. So I used 4 coupons and when i got to the register, they rang at different prices and the cashier said they set prices early and it didn’t start until tomorrow. So I had to speak to someone about giving me the price that was listed on the item. Then they said that I could only use 3 of the coupons for the 8 items. I also got the wonka theater candy and used the .75/2. I thought my total was gonna be around $3 but somehow it ended up being $6. I really think they didn’t do something right but the receipt has so many voids on it so I am having a hard time figuring out what’s what. Just had to complain, sorry 🙂

    • Melissa

So they didn’t ring up 39 cents each? I work at Wags and ours are marked and begin ringing at 6 pm on Saturday’s. If you had a problem, read through your receipt carefully and then go see a manager! They should be willing to help you out. If they won’t- go above them. 🙂

      • Ashley

The 24hour stores ads start at sunday midnight and the non 24 hour stores ads start on 6pm on saturday night.

        • katee

thats not true for all stores, some are different, i work at a non 24-hour store and it starts ringing around 1pm saturday

        • M-

Depending which time zone you’re in. Might be easier to say for the non-24 hr stores that the deals begin @ 8pm eastern-time Saturdays.

  13. karen

Can anyone help me out? I havent ever shopped at Walgreens with coupons because it all just seems wayyy too complicated. I shop CVS and Rite aid and love both stores, BUT I just bought 10 got2b coupons and I guess Walgreens is the best place to use them at this point (I would def hold off if I knew they would be on sale at other stores, making them free or at least pretty close to free). But anyways, I dont know how to buy all 10 products and use the least amount of money out of pocket. I know the policy is one manu Q per item but I also want to roll my rewards and am thinking about buying the Colgate and the U by Kotex deals. Can anyone give me some tips or help me get a scenario together?
    Thank You!!!!!!!!

    • karen

or does anyone know of any upcoming got2b deals other than walgreens?
I dont have a kroger, I am in the north east

      • mel

Walmart has them regular price of $3.97. With the Walgreens deal, what you will have to do is buy 2 Got2Be, use 2 coupons, pay $4 [+ tax] and you’ll get a $5 RR in return. Take that $4 and use it towards the Kotex deal (you don’t mention if you have any coupons.. I will assume you do) 2/$7 minus 2 $1/1 coupons. Now here is the trick.. b/c you have a 3 coupons (2 manuf + 1 rr) you will need to add in a filler for the RR to attach to a product. I like to add .50 & under, this week there are .39 candy. So now you have $7 + .39 candy = $7.39 – $2 in manuf q + $5 RR = .39 [+ tax]. Get a $3 RR in return. Get 2 more Got2Be @ $10 + .39 candy = $10.39 – $6 for the 2 manuf q – $3 RR. Pay $1.39 + tax and get $5 RR in return.
        Now, do to the Colgate deal 2/$6 + filler. This one might be a bit more tricky if you have 2 $1/1 coupons for the Colgate + the $5 RR = $7 in coupons. You’ll need a $1 filler here. So $6 + $1 filler = $7 – $2 in manuf q’s + $5 RR = 0 + tax, get $3 RR.
        Rinse & repeat another Got2Be.

        Hope that Helps!

    • Amber

Do you need/want the schick hydro silk at all? You could do:

      1. Got2b 2/$10 *minus $6.00 coupons* oop $4.00 and you would get a $5RR
      2. Schick silk $9.99 + filler item like cheap candy *minus $4.00 coupon and $5RR* oop approximately $1.50 and you would get a $4RR
      3. Got2b 2/$10 + filler item *minus $6.00 coupons and $4RR* oop approximately $.50 and you would get a $5RR
*and so on and so forth
**So after you used your 10 coupons it would come to around $12 for 10 Got2b products and 4 razors (and some candy 🙂 )

      Or with the kotex:

      1. Got2b 2/$10 *minus $6.00 coupons* oop $4.00 and you would get a $5RR
      2. Kotex 2/$7 + filler *minus $2.00 coupons and $5 RR* oop $.50? and you would get a $3RR
      3. Got2b 2/$10 + filler *minus $6.00 coupons and $3 RR* oop $1.50 and you would get a $5RR
*and so on an so forth
**After the 10 coupons it would come to around $12 oop for 10 Got2b products and 8 Kotex.

Walgreens is trickier because you have to remember filler items and those also add to your oop. I do agree the got2b deal is a great one though! Hope this helped a little!

  15. Liz

Awesome deal on the Nice trash bags. We are on our 3rd or 4th box, they are great quality.

  16. kara

in the small print on the walgreens ad it states that there is a limit of 3 12pks so how is it possible to get the deal u have posted

    • kara

oops for the coke that is

    • Ashley

*Most* Walgreens don’t enforce the limits 🙂

    • Melissa

I work at Wags and I have personally bought the coke and never had a problem. They want you to spend $20 on the coke so it shouldn’t be an issue. If it is- try another wags.

    • Michelle

My Wags actually had signs up they made, like on computer paper, saying to purchase 6 to get the registar rewards. Did the coke deal a coupole of weeks ago, had no problem

  17. Shannon

On coupons.com under zipcode 77477, there is a coupon for buy one 12 pack diet dr. pepper, get 1 dollar off of the orville reddenbacher gourmet popping corn (minimum size 3 pack). • Shannon

Also, on coupons.com under zipcode 77477, there’s a coupon for .75/2 any size shout, if you can’t get your hands on the 3/25 insert.

  19. Sharie

I have a $1.00 off coupon for the Basic toliet paper that I received in the mail from one of the P&G sample packs. This would make the toliet paper only $1.99. Did anyone else get this coupon?

    • Sally

I guess mine $1 Charmin coupon came from Ebony magazine. I also had $2 Charmin coupon from their Facebook promotion.

    • Brenda

      Sharie,
I got it, and plan on using it for this deal, too!

  20. Lisa

Hi, I asked last week, but didn’t get a response and was wondering if anyone had any extra Got2b coupons they weren’t using??? My daughter loves this product and I would like to get a few of their straightening sprays for her. I looked online for them, but people are selling them for a crazy amount 🙁

If anyone is willing to part with a few coupons, you are more than welcome to anything I have on hand. I would be willing to trade. I have Lots of pet coupons, and other coupons that I don’t use. Please feel free to email me at- nixoncoupon@yahoo.com

    Thanks,
    Lisa 🙂

  21. leighangela

For the Kleenex bogo, do you have to use the coupon from the flier? Do you have to use one coupon per two boxes?

  22. bridget

on the mars singles for 39 cents… can’t we price match that at walmart and get the overage? buy 2 for 78cents use $1/2 coupon…. 22cents overage for each set of two? i have 20 of the coupons and was thinking of buying 4 at cvs on my card and 4 on my boyfriends for $4mm on those… then using the other 16 i have at walmart with price match for a money maker of 3.52 for a total money making of $7.52 and 40 free candies?

  24. Carol

So, I tried to use the $1/2 Mars Easter coupon at my local Walgreens in Nampa, ID. The cashier wouldn’t do it and called the manager over to the checkout stand. The manager said they had received an email telling them not to redeem these coupons on the small packages of candy or the store would not be reimbursed. Anyone else had this issue? This coupon definitely did not state a size and was from the 3/18 RP, I believe.

    • Angela

I had this problem yesterday. I tried to use that same coupon for the .39 Mars candy and the register beeped and wouldn’t accept it. The cashier told me that when the coupon states “candies” (in plural) it usually means the coupon is good for the bags of candy, not the individual candies. I didn’t buy this excuse, of course, and i didn’t buy the candy there either. I tried to use the Mentos gum coupons too, and they also cause the register to beep, but the cashier manually entered those coupons for me. It seems like a lot of stores are really cracking down on coupon usage, that’s been my experience lately. I’m not clearing shelves, I would just like to save a few dollars so I can afford to put gas in my car!! 🙂

Right on Angela!! … “It seems like a lot of stores are really cracking down on coupon usage, that’s been my experience lately. I’m not clearing shelves, I would just like to save a few dollars so I can afford to put gas in my car!! :)”.

At my Walgreens, in New Orleans, LA, we are limited to only 3 12 packs so could not do the deal.

  26. Stacy

I don’t think the viva coupon will work for the 6 roll pack, I didn’t print it, but when it came up it was for 2 single rolls or 1, 2 pack. Just curious if any printed it?

  27. T eresita

I bought 6 Cokes here in Utah and didn’t get the $ 10rr. So I just returned them. Not a big deal. I also bought the Nice! trash bags and in the back of the ad, there is a store q to make them $2.99. Plus the Q from the monthly booklet will make them $1. They feel like good quality, husband says they seem good.

  28. Marissa

Yay! So excited for the got2b deal!

  29. Kristen

Is there a limit on the up2u gum?

  30. missi

The Colgate toothepaste and toothbrush deal that is like getting it two for $3… They really mean a limit of 2 anything Colgate. Any more than that and it won’t work. Confusing and they were rude. Not worth the hassle to shop at this one here… until I get over the irritation. 🙂

  31. edy

I had bought 11 got2b at cvs last week @ 3.99 and paid .99 cents for each. When it comes to beauty club and get bucks for every $50 dlrs. I spend on cosmetics, shampoo and any items for beauty. I don’t mind paying .99 cents. And yes kroger has them for $3dlrs and they will be on sale again before the cpn expires!!! Thanks ladys for the postyings!

  32. Liz

Hello I’m new to this couponing and I was wondering could I use rr on items then receive more rr? Thank you

    • Sarah

Yes as long as the RR is not from same manufacturer. You can use the RR on the next transaction but it won’t produce a new RR if both are from same mfr.

  33. Paula

I looked through my Walgreens ad and didn’t see the Glade Expressions, the Shout Color Catchers or the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gels. Are these monthly deals or is my ad just missing a page? Thanks so much Collin for all you do to help us out!

  34. Jodi

I LOVE their trashbags and always stock up at this price!!!! I do see you didn’t mention their Walgreens brand diapers? They are 2/$10 which is a really good price and I really like them for my son too!

  35. Lori

My Walgreens said they aren’t doing the $10RR on Cokes. It’s only buy 3/$12 and get the 8pk of mini’s. They also didn’t think the Glade Expressions was on sale either, the two things I was interested in … 🙁

    • Lori

My Walgreens figured out that the Coke deal is still on… I just got my $10 RR 🙂

  36. edy

Lori, the coke deal buy 6 pcks for $20 get 10rr was last week! I still have my rr I hate to shop walgreens so. Plan om buying anything that gives back rewards like the got2b and schick razor! I like bucks better! Also cvs has a lot of zhus now 6161 telephonre rd houston tx

  37. Courtney

What is everyone’s stock up price for name brand toilet paper?

  38. Cindy Martin

For the coke promotion, I was able to obtain the $10 RR as well as the free 8 pack mini’s (actually received 2 mini’s because I purchased 6 12 packs). There was also 50 cent of peelies on the mini’s that I was also able to use. The Walgreens I use told me the Coke promotion is all March long.

  39. Sarah

I tried to get the coke deal and spent over $20 but wanted to pay using $8 in RRs, but the $10 RR did not print out. This store has the new cash register system and I know the old register system would let it come out. The assistant manager said he couldn’t do anything so I had him void the transaction, give me my RRs back, pay cash for my cokes and use my RRs on other stuff in a different transaction in order to get my $10 RR. It is times like these I just want to give up couponing. I always run into problems like these and it is time consuming (waiting for managers) and embarrassing with the store employees look at me like I am trying to do something wrong or pull one over on them. I stopped couponing for a while (both because of situations like this and the feeling that it was a waste of time since the stores usually have already been cleaned out of whatever the sale item is) and just started again a couple of weeks ago and after today am ready to give up again!

    • Angela

That’s too bad. I had a similar experience and I stopped couponing for a bit too. It’s become quite a hassle to try to save money these days, using coupons anyway. I started again yesterday and had yet another issue, not sure if I’m going to try as hard as I used to anymore. Gotta wonder if it’s worth the headache.

  40. Jenna

Hi- I just wanted to post that the NICE trash bags work fine. I have bought them before and never had a problem. Just wanted to post because you questioned the quality. Thank you so much for posting these deals every week. You save my family so much money every week.

  41. Lesly

6 Coke 12 pks do NOT print out $10 RR. My store said it was just for the week a few weeks ago…. 🙁

    • Lesly

Ok. This is what the ad says:
Get $10 in Register Rewards at checkout when you buy $20 or more or get $5 when you buy $15 of participating products. Good on your next in-store purchase. Offer valid 2/26 – 3/31/12. then the fine print states Limit 1 coupon printed per offer. See coupon for exclusions, limitations and expiration.
*I used my last $10 RR from doing this deal a few weeks ago so I wonder if the computer caught that and didn’t print me another one today.

  42. edy

I had a $10rr from the coke deal! I hate to shop walgreens but, decide it to reuse it by buying 2 got2b and 1 pain reliver and one glade sense and spray. Used 2 cpns 3dlrs got2b and 3dlrs cpn sense spray paid with 10 rr and got 5rr for the got2b and 5 rr for pain relieve with menthol 5.99 and get. 5rr and 2rr for the glade paid 5plus tax and got 12r. Manager real nice he had to take manually the 3dlr cpn for the got2b one the other went through okay!

  43. kiki

    Clearance Find….Polident 3 min tablets (84 ct) for mouthguards…$1.49
This sure beats the $3.49 price after coupons next week at Walgreen’s and or the $2.25 price next week at Rite Aid after coupons, VV, and UP+ rewards.

  44. Jodi J.

    AT Walgreen’s, between 4/3 and 4/28, buy 2 12-packs Cottonnelle toilet paper, get $2 RR; buy 3 12-packs, get $3 RR.

  45. chelsee

Can someone help me out? I am planning to do a walgreens haul, the razor picture in the add is the power select, but it says schick hydro razor, it doesn’t say schick hydro power select 5 razor, i want the womans razor, does anyone know if this is included in that promotion? thank you for your help

  46. Elena

So I called the corporate about not taking my 2 wags coupons on the nice trash bags and guess what? The corporate said that they only take 1 man and 1 wag coupon per item when in their coupon policy clearly states that I can use all applicable wag coupons…what do I do now? …..still didn’ get the trash bags…..

  47. Tracy

I tried to do the mentors gum 14 piece yesterday and they were ringin up as $1.69 not on sale for $.99. Where did you get this from as it’s not in the flier? The manager could not find it in the monthly coupon book and all I had was it on your blog. I was bummed I had 9 coupons to use and my husband loves that gum!
