so i went to walgreens and bought two kellogs cereal, 2/5 and 2 enfagrow rtf. i used two enfagrow coupons and one 5 dollar rr (intended for the cereal). i paid 1.86 oop but i did not receive any points (1000 for the enfagrow, even though i have done the enfragrow a “million” times and always got the point and it “should be clear” to the register that the rr is for the cereal since i gave it lst anyway. so apparently i alled CC and the said they are still working to fix it. i guess the register cannot tell the diff btwn points and rr, so even though according to the policy u can use rr to get points, u have to call them in. am i the only one who has experienced this?

I don’t think the register “thinks” like that, that you’re attaching a RR to a non-BR item. I did use RR on a deal a few wks ago, got the RR + BR (it was Degree, get $1 RR and I had a coupon for Free Men’s Clear Care WYB Degree. The Clear Care gave 1,000 pts) I really don’t know what’s up with their system, seems there are lots of kinks that need to be worked out.

    • karen

i was told when i had items that would get points you can not redeem your money that you have earned..the lady said if you redeem your money you will not get points on the items that are giving points..Its soconfusing I rather go back to the register rewards…

Not this week, but I recently got a coupon for $3 off CVS hair care, which became a free full-size bottle of “compare to Pantene” conditioner. Definitely worth stopping by the coupon machine every time!

    • Kristen

Once I got that coupon (or maybe it was $2 off) and I bought a bottle of VO5 conditioner for $0.67. The coupon still took off $2, and the overage was applied to the other items I bought 🙂

      • Gaby

The coupon that Patty mentions is for a CVS product if you used that same coupon the VO5 than you misused it since VO5 isn’t CVS brand.

Don’t forget to ask at your CVS if they have any Halloween treat bags left! Free Hershey candy this week with the $5 CVS coupon inside. The big 22oz bags of Kit-kats, Whoppers, and Milk Duds are $5 on sale, and spend $15 get $5 ECBs (limit of 1 deal per transaction on the ECBs, but the limit itself is at least 4…). Happy Halloween!

    • Alea

My store sent the leftover treat bags back – not sure why. They wouldn’t give them to kids who weren’t in costume either on Sunday. :/

  4. Brenda

You could also stack the coupon with the bogo Pantene coupon for the following:
buy 2 Pantene shampoos, conditioners, or stylers 2/$8
use bogo coupon (it takes off full value listed on coupon of $6.69-$6.99)
    use CVS coupon machine coupon
    receive $1 ECB wyb 2
Final Cost: free + money maker

  5. rosana

I did get the gel for free. And an email with a survey and got $5.00

Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths, 30 ct $4.49, sale price through 10/27
Use $2.00/1 Olay Complete Facial Moisturizer, Daily Facial or Cleansers, excludes Clean & Mild Cloths, ProX, Regenerist, Total Effects and ADS, Limit of 4 like coupons per household per day from PG 9/30 (exp 10/31)
And use $3.00/1 Olay Facial Skin Care Item, CVS Coupon=FREE!

    • mel

did that AND sending in for the P&G rebate

      • irene

Me, too. Since the rebate is through 12/30, there’s plenty of time to accrue $50 worth of freebies at CVS! 🙂

  7. Alea

Suave hair care is usually around $1-2 a bottle here so it might be the better buy with the hair care coupon.

  8. amy

I asked if they had any halloween packs left, you have to buy them for 1.99. I had got 2 on sunday but went to a different one to ask. I still bought 1 to use for the candy, 3 bags of the $5 dollar candy free w/coupons = 5 ECB – 1.99 still a $3.01 money maker! Has anyone used the costume coupn yet? just wondering if it can be used on face paint or smaller costume items?

    • Amanda

Last year the costume coupon worked on accessories.

      • amy

        Thanks! I was able to get fantasy makers facepaint for 5.99 – 5coupon = .99 plus I got 2ECB so $1 moneymaker!!

    • kimberly

so you bought 3 bags used 3 $5 coupons and received a $5 ECB so $5 money maker if you have 3 coupons but you only had 2. so you had no problems with The coupon saying limit one coupon per customer

      • amy

I had 2 bags from sun. bought 1 yesterday used 3 coupons on 3 bags of candy and got 5 ECB back had no problems using 3 at once.

        • sarah

yes i noticed it said limit one coupon per customer, but is this limit one per card or limit one per day??…im seeing it will allow you to use more than one at a time, but would like to do as it says. they are real picky sometimes, depends who and when and where. i still thought $5 was good for 4 bags of candy got 2 of the big sized whoppers/kitkats/milkduds bags and 2 of the airheads. so i was happy with that!

  9. roxy

They have the Psst dry shampoo in the travel section. I wonder if that would be considered a hair styling product. I’d love to try it

  10. lisa

I will check today for the pain reliever and the hair coupon. Thanks for the post. CVS Candy Corn on the other hand was free with XB’s last year and I did not even like it when it was free.

  11. Leslie Costic

$1/2 bags of CVS Brand Candy Corn 6 oz didn’t scan for me or anyone else that was witing to scan (I checked) :o(

  12. Tarri

I went to the Q machine yesterday and scanned my card three times before it said no more q for the day.

  13. j

Didnt get these coupons from the magic machine here in NY.. maybe later this week?

  14. Rosa

I rcvd a$3/1 CVS hand or body lotion

  15. Chris A

The new Walgreens bonus points system, is way to complicated in my book. I don’t have time to read all the small print in that store

    • Brandy

I agree, plus they don’t have as many RR and their RR expire way too soon. I’m sticking with CVS which is way more uncomplicated.

  16. Tarri
