It’s a scam, I just called toysrus corporate the text number is 30364 and they are not running a promotion right now
I’m so annoyed with toysrus right now, because I called again because it was asking for my name and email, this time the woman said the number is valid and the codes aren’t working, but as long as you show the checkout clerk that you signed up for the mobile deals that they will honor the $10 off 10, and if they give you a problem tell them to call corporate
I don’t think it is a scam. We tried to do both texts on 2 phones and got one (of 4 possible) to come through….the first one we tried mid-afternoon yesterday. I think there was a cap on the number of $10 handed out and/or they shut it down when it went viral. This deal was posted on many, many, many blogs yesterday.
I just got back from toys r us and she scanned my phone and it worked, no problem.
I miss out on deals too, it is just how it goes. It isn’t fair….but I just try to let it go…..there are deals I get that others miss out on and vice versa.
This offer worked yesterday in NJ. I texted the code from my phone and Husbands. We both received a coupon and at the store we paid separately and had no issues at all. Thanks!!!
Called Corporate because I never received my coupon and it is a scam! I know some people are getting the coupon and it works in the store and they are unsure how it exactly is working. Basically some outside source has figured out a system for Toys R Us to lose money. I was talking to the representative on the phone for a while. They are working hard at finding out how exactly this outside source managed to pull this off. THey will give you a reference number for 5% an online order if you call them because of the trouble.
Waited for a day, no coupon yet 🙁
My brother just used his coupon today and they told him it was a scam but they were still honoring it. The cashier had to call a manager to override it.
Just used my $10 coupon in Ft Worth, TX. I found 432ct Pampers wipes on clearance! For 3 boxes and a total of 1296 wipes, I paid $5.35! What an awesome deal!!! Thanks.

No one is being unkind…..it just isn’t forward-able. Unique QR codes were sent to people’s phones. It isn’t just a generic coupon like in the paper…..
Just went to BRU and I just got my girls 2 silly cups worth $11.98 for free no tax or anything the coupon defenitly works:-) the cashier joked that i bet it’s the best deal you got. Yeah! I will try it on my husband’s phone later on see if it works. Thanks Collin:-)

Received 2 promos via text (1 from BRU & 1 from TRU) used both in separate transactions (with manager approval), signed up for a baby registry and scored a free $10 gift card, and someone left a $5/a purchase coupon (along with a few other coupons laying on a shelf) so total I was able to get $35 in free merchandise! I have sprint in Alaska. we are roaming 100% of the time as of Oct. 1. but I did manage to get the text yesterday and used the $10 coupon today with no problems. It’s been a great deal day for me, I got the free 16×20 print from shutterfly as well as the 10 free 6×8 cards. Doesn’t always work out for everyone but today was just my day I suppose 🙂
Def. not a scam, this is the same number plastered all over TRU to sign up for mobile qs, I had signed up already but hadn’t confirmed, got my q and used it with no beep or manager needed.
Didn’t work for me either..I called corporate too and got no where except an offer of $10 off online 🙂 I told the rep that would honestly be useless since it would cost me shipping..
This was NOT A SCAM…the terms and conditions changed because regarding text messages because of a new law. ToysRus wanted people to stay on their list to receive promotional text. They probably didn’t want it to go viral…just to people that were already receiving texts from them for retention. I wasn’t going to reply back to stay on the list until I saw the coupon.
