Publix sells these as well, though I can’t remember how much they are.

    Expiration date?

12/14/13. I go thru these like crazy. Well my dad does. When he is tinkering in the garage in the winter he has one on for heat(it has a heat element attachment). He has like 15 propane tanks so we are always looking for sales or coupons when we need to exchange tanks.

One thing to keep in mind with propane exchanges… these days they only fill them to about 15lbs of propane, where as if you take a tank to get filled you’ll get 18-19+ lbs of propane. I paid ~15.50 to have my tank filled at u-haul versus the ~20 it would cost for an exchange, and I got 3-4 more lbs of propane for a lower price.

To clarify this a bit. A 20 lb tank holds ~4.7 gallons of propane. What you’ll get an exchange is 3.5-3.6 gallons. 75% of what the tank could actually hold. And 1 gallon less (25% less) than if you fill it up rather than exchange.

I never pay more than $13 for an exchange. I always use coupons. So I guess its about the same as refilling since it would cost a bit more and you would get a bit more. But if I ever run out of coupons I will definitely look into the refill deal.
