I love this program! I get all my disney movies through them and they frequently have 60% off all movies when you buy one plus free shipping deals. I also remember disneymovierewards.com offering 500 bonus points to new members a while back, not sure if thats still going on. A little off subject but if anyone has any disney movie codes, tickets, or points they aren’t planning on using , I would love them! Been saving points for a birthday present for my daughter and im almost there. If you do can you email them to slackeylackey22@yahoo.com I would appreciate it. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!
The Mulan dvd set priced at $19.99 is only for current vip members, not for those who have yet to complete their commitment.
Thanks for that clarification!
Would the initial bonus DVDs count towards my 4 purchases in 24 months?
No. Only one movie per order will count towards your purchase commitment. You can purchase one additional discounted movie on your initial order that will count towards your purchase commitment but all others must be full priced titles.
So if you aren’t a current member and sign up today, can you still take advantage of the deal?
no. the mulan price and the vip pins are vip commitment filled specials
No you have to have already completed your purchase commitment to be a VIP member
I am debating joining, since we are about to have two babies under two….is it worth it? Right now with the sign-up bonus I could get 7 movies for $21.90. Plus then only have to buy another 2 movies in the next however many months. Sounds like a good deal right now, but looking for others who have used this in the past! Thanks in advance!
I’ve never seen a deal where you only had to buy 2 more movies. the normal is 5 and then with a bonus dvd 4, the excess bonus discs don’t count after that. Be sure to read all the fine print. Having said that, YES IT IS WORTH IT! I love this program. What I do is sign up in my name, get the great deals, fulfill the commitment, then cancel and sign up in husbands name and do the same thing. I’ve done this back and forth for years, and we have so many great movies for a low price as a result. If you really do only have to buy 2 movies, even better
Thank you! I know the 1st bonus movie counts towards one of the 4 you have to buy, I have to double check to see if the 2nd bonus movie would count, also. With that being said, I think it would still be a great deal if we only had to buy 3!
The second bonus does not count. You’d still need to purchase three movies over the next 24 months to fulfill the commitment.
Colleen I am contemplating joining too how are you getting the 7 movies? I did this like 12 years ago with my daughter who is now 19 and she still remembers her wonderful movies till this day so I would say it is worth it.
Colleen I am contemplating joining too how are you getting the 7 movies?
By using the code Collin posted above you get the 5 for $1…then underneath that it says “add 2 more movies” – the first one is like $11.95 and the second is $8.95. So $21.90 total for 7 movies (with the first 5 movies only being $1 total). I know that the first bonus movie counts toward your 4 movie commitment, but I’m not sure if the purchase of the 2nd bonus movie would or not.
Nevermind I wasn’t putting in the code…I got it.
I use digital copies more now than I have in the past – does anyone know if the 5 for $1 movies include a digital copy?
I’m wondering the same thing. When i look at all the bluray packs, none indicate whether it comes with a digital copy or not :/
It does include a digital copy if you get blue ray. Totally worth it! I get blue rays and we got 5 blue rays for $1- all the blue ray editions included a blue ray of the movie, a DVD version of the movie AND a digital copy! So my kids can watch the movie on an iPad, I have a blue ray copy, and GMa has the DVD! All for one great price!!
I just joined with the digital included. I clicked on one of the choices at the bottom (no pictures) then when I clicked on the movie choices, the digital versions were available (with blu-ray and dvd combo).
I just tried to do this same order and it only gives me Frozen and Mulan II at 50% off. The details say you have to buy one dvd or blue ray at $29.95 or higher to get addition movies at 50% off… Am I doing something wrong that my Peter Pan is still full price?
I joined and am less than satisfied. You have to buy the featured title and buy x movies in two years. Monthly they send a notice you have to decline or they will send the movies and charge your account. My featured title last month was Frozen. I bought it and Robin Hood which was 29.99. Since it was more than Frozen they charged me the 29.99 and half off for frozen totaling maybe around $45.00. Apparently this doesn’t count as my commitment status! What a waste! I could buy these movies in the store with much less hassle! Now I still have to buy 4 movies in the next year.
is it possible to buy the next 4 movies right away or do you have to wait for the monthly movies to come out?
Yes, you can immediately buy 4 movies, then cancel right away. I’ve done it in the past… Then a few months later they sent me a mailer to rejoin and I got another 5 DVDs free and did the same thing again.
How come it won’t let me choose Frozen as one of my 5?
Stephanie its probably because its still very new . Frozen is a great movie and yes its part of the club , but its also still a big seller. Also for all those Disney Afternoon Kids Ducktales, Chip n Dale RR, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, and gargoyles Fans. The shows will be discontinued as of October 2014.. I picked up a few copies recently finding out that they will soon be out of print.
Perhaps them taking them out of circulation will mean they will hit blu ray in full series sets. Oh and Kim Possible is the other show that will be taken from circulation… as that is a Disney Movie Club Exclusive.
