I have this carrier & my baby & I both love it! It’s so easy to use & put on & she falls asleep almost every time I put her in it. Mine also came with a little hood for the baby because you’re supposed to be able to breastfed discreetly using this. I haven’t tried that yet though because I just can’t figure out how I’d do it. I also love that it is truly one size fits all because of how it’s made with the straps. I’m 5’8″, my mom is 5′ & my hubby is 6’2″ & we can all use it comfortably. I would recommend that you have someone else with you to “spot” you the first few times you try to use this when you put baby in. It’s very easy to learn to use but can be a bit awkward the first few times while you figure out how to hold the baby. & tie the shoulder strap part. Bottom line is this is comfy for both of us & I’d definitely recommend this carrier! This price is pretty good too, but I think Target & Walmart’s regular price for this is like $26, so this is still a savings but not a massive one.
have you noticed if it stretches the longer you wear it? i have a ktan that i used for my two oldest, but it stretches so much that it’s not snug and secure by the time i’m finished at the grocery store. this carrier looks like the perfect fit for what i’m wanting.
The material used for this carrier is a cotton canvas type material. It does not stretch.
Jennifer, no this doesn’t stretch out at all. As someone else mentioned its a cotton canvas type material. It’s basically a section of this thick type fabric & then has straps at the waist that you tie around you. And then shoulder straps that you cross at your back & either tie behind you, or if there’s room you can bring them around & tie at front.
I have the K’tan too & I can honestly say that I prefer this one. I think my baby prefers it as well as evidenced by her falling asleep in it! She never looked or seemed comfy in the ktan. I’ve been using this since my baby was about 3 or 4 weeks old. She’s 13 wks now & she does great in it. I also love how it distributes the weight really well & the shoulder straps are nicely padded so even wearing for long shopping trips haven’t been a problem. We’re going to Disney works next month & I hope to use this there as well, at least during waiting in line & indoor activities & I’ll definitely be using it at the airport as well. Hope this all helps!
I too have this and love it!
We have this and love it! Truly a great ergonomic cheap carrier!! If you need a carrier or know someone who needs one this is a great buy.
I have this and love it! But it was on Amazon for $19 on Saturday and my local walmart has it for $25 just FYI
Would this be good for hiking with a 10 month old? I would like to put him on my back. TIA!
Lisa, I’d say yes. I use this for long walks with my 8month old and I also use it to carry my almost 2 year old.
Thank you Ashley!
