I was thinking the same thing, however I’m not sure how e-gift cards work? Would I just print it?
You can do that or if you have a smartphone you can download the Starbucks app. I use the Starbucks add and all you have to do is create an account and add the card to that account then it shows up on (and they can scan) your cell phone app account! This also helps you earn rewards and free drinks. 🙂
Its for a gift though and the teacher may not have a smart phone.
you can print it and they can use it the same as a physical giftcard. doesn’t look quite as nice as their pretty cards but works just the same.
Or just take that to the store and use it to buy a gift card 🙂
I was explaining to the other person u can’t assume people have ability to download app im not using this as a teacher gift hope they read all this information though!!!
You can always add it to another card (including a plastic one or another e-gift card) though that will probably cost more $ unless you have one laying around.
Just load it on your phone, then go to the store and tell them you want to buy a gift card, then pay with your phone.

I just take my Groupon piece of paper into a Starbucks and they transfer it to a gift card…never an issue doing that.

Got mine! Thanks!! After I bought it, Groupon gave me 15% off a local deal “to go with my starbucks deal”. It popped up on the top of the website. I was able to get the Body Shop deal for $12.75!

I always reload onto my card. But if your giving it as a holday gift, print it out. You can load it onto a physical card in store. Then it doesn’t expire.

Mildly bummed though … I was in such a hurry to snag this deal before it disappeared I FORGOT to use a rebate! Ugh!!! TopCashback was offering 10% … Swagbucks 8Bucks/$1 … And MrRebates 7%. Although this was only a $5 purchase, every little bit helps. On the flip side, if I missed the deal trying to log-in and use a rebate I’d be SUPER bummed. LOL! Next time!

So bummed I usually stock up on these deals but I’m boycotting Starbucks since they’ve teamed up with Monsanto as a part of the grocery manufacturers association to sue Vermont over the GMO labeling law. We have a right to know what we are eating!

I’m still confused once you buy one how to add it to my iPhone app.
I don’t know how to add it on the app either. I do know you can transfer balances at starbucks.com using safari on your iPhone.
I don’t think there’s a way to add it to the app. I transfer mine on their web page. It will update on your app.
In the app, hit “pay”…. If you have a card registered, right under it you’ll see a little plus sign and a dot…. Slide the card to the right and then you can add the new card then transfer the balance to your registered card
