Amazon: Nice Deals on Reusable Baby Food Pouches
Check out the email I received from Hip2Save reader Christina –
[h2s_box] Little Hands food pouch company is having a New Years resolution sale and has their 4-packs for sale on Amazon until 1-8-15 at midnight for $6.79. I love that the pouches are BPA free and dishwasher safe. On top of that $1.69 a pouch is the cheapest I have ever seen reusable pouches so I am sure your money-saving mommy followers will be excited when they see this deal. 🙂 [/h2s_box]
I was browsing around on Amazon and also spotted these similar Baby Food Freezer Storage 2.5 Ounce, Set of 6 Reusable & Refillable Pouches for just $9.99 – just $1.67 per pouch! These pouches are Eco friendly, BPA, Phthlate, PVC & Lead Free with a no choke cap. Plus, shipping is free with a Super Saver order of $35 or free 2-day shipping with Amazon Prime.
(Thanks, Christina!)
We use these ones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DEQ88OW/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00DEQ88OW&linkCode=as2&tag=wwwhip2saveco-20&linkId=JIF6OB3NGSISNRML. You have to buy more at once, but they work great and cost less on a per pouch basis. I like that they don’t look babyish too. My 6 year old takes them to school with smoothies or yogurt to go with her lunch.
Any feedback on the no-choke cap? I always found it ironic that the baby food pouches have caps that seem to be designed as choking hazards.
These are awesome, def recommend!
Thanks I picked up the little hands set. We have a set of the 7 oz little green pouches & have gotten a lot of use out of them. Pretty sure I paid the $14.99 for them so these seem like a good deal. I’ve used them for baby food with my youngest but I also have a 6 & 3 year old who use them for school lunches or when we’re traveling for yogurt, applesauce & pudding. They all think they’re fun to eat out of. The store bought pouch lids also fit my little green pouches which is handy b/c lids occasionally get lost or dropped on the floor then stepped on or chewed up by the dog. The lids are definitely a choke-able size so I wouldn’t allow my baby to play with one that had the cap on just to be safe. I will also say I don’t always find them as easily cleaned as running them through the dishwasher. They have a tiny lip along the zip-lock type opening that I’ve found cleans up very well with a folded over pipe cleaner when necessary.
I prefer the Little hands food pouches because they hold up to 7 oz of pureed food vs the 2.5 oz food pouches. My children are 2 and 4 and the 7 oz food pouches hold 2 cups of activia perfectly 🙂
I just noticed the size difference between the two – thanks for pointing that out as well! I feel like the 7 oz will be useable a lot longer.
My kiddo would destroy my kitchen with these. They open like a Ziploc at the bottom.lol! It’s a very nice deal though.
They look like they open on top not bottom. I have the Little Green Pouches. If these are like those, the are very secure. I haven’t tried this brand though.
Look forward to putting green smoothies in these for my little guy!
Note these are “Made in China”
These are the bomb! I have a 14 month old – who suddenly hates veggies that are offered as finger food – I puree them and just like that he’s had almost a days worth of veggies.
The zip top is super secure – they are hard to seal but once they are sealed they are difficult to open. After I run them through the dishwasher I stuff a paper towel inside of it to soak up any extra water, take that out and then throw them in the freezer empty to prevent anything from growing. I use them often enough it probably wouldn’t be an issue anyways.
My son adapted very quickly to the somewhat awkward side-spout, I wasn’t sure how that would go over but he does great with them.
Definitely recommend, I’m going to grab another set because I always find myself wanting one when all are already full or dirty!
I have had these (top ones) in my wish list for awhile and they have been 6.99 for several months so you can always get them later for nearly the same price.
We own the 2nd ones and love them we also use the sipn soft top so they can’t just squeeze them out they make label that wash right off to for daycare
This item has been $6.99 on amazon for several months in a row, so don’t feel that you need to rush out to get them on sale for $6.79. I have used them frequently though and they are a great item.
I have had the ones with the animals on them since last summer and they work great for my 5 and 3 yo for applesauce, yogurt, pudding. The opening at the bottom makes them easy to fill and neither of my kids has been able to open the ‘zipper’ opening. It’s tough to close but stays closed once zipped
has anyone tried these: https://www.amazon.com/Polka-Extra-Nourish-Reusable-Pouch/dp/B00JU1CUYO/ref=sr_1_3?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1420678898&sr=1-3&keywords=nourish+with+style
are they any good?
