Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program: 2,400+ Students Ages 6-18 Win $1,000-$10,000 Scholarship & More
Through March 13th, head here to nominate a student between the ages of 6 and 18 for the Kohl’s Care Scholarship Program. Nominations should describe how the student has contributed to the community in a meaningful way by performing volunteer services that helped people who are NOT related to the student (volunteer activity must have occurred within the last 12 months). Note that financial need or academic performance will not be considered in the review and selection of winners.
The nominations will be separated into two age groups: ages 6-12 and ages 13-18. Kohl’s will award approximately 2,300 local winners with a $50 Kohl’s Gift Card, 180 regional winners with a $1,000 scholarship and 10 national winners will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Winners will be notified in June 2015. Awesome!

I am nominating my son Jacob Holman because I can’t believe what a caring thoughtful young man he has become. He is part of an organization at school that raises and donates money to local non profit organizations. Every year they do cardboard city where they get pledges to sleep outside in the month of October to raise awareness for homeless families. He has done this for the past 3 years and is excited to do it! He volunteers for every activity they have and some of the people they have helped included the local woman’s shelter, food backpack programs, humane society and more that I don’t even know!! He is involved with our church youth group and mentors the jr high kids and can’t do enough to help end bullying in our schools. He may not be the best student but is very active in sports and clubs in his school.
Thanks so much for posting this. I have twin daughters in high school that want to go to college and need all the help they can get we can not afford school with out it.
I nominate my son Antonio for all the things he does to help his community he volunteer to help in the summer reading program and bible school he help with breakfast at the church
