There is a code SAVE20 to get an extra 20% off a small appliance

    • Kristen

The 20% code applied but didn’t take off any money for me. Thanks though!

    • Shopper

That’s Only valid on regular price and doesn’t combine with any other offer.

We have this ice cream maker and love it.
We mostly use it to make Nutella ice cream, so yummy!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That sounds delicious! Thanks for the feedback!

    • Jamie

      Recipe?? Yum!

I have this Cuisinart Ice Cream maker very easy to use. We’ve made all different flavor combination over the summer. Nummy tummy as my 3 yr. old says. Enjoy 🙂

  5. ThatWordChick

I own this and *really, really* love it. It’s super-easy to use and it makes fantastic ice cream. We got a “backup bowl” so we can make 2 kinds at once when the mood strikes us. I recommend storing your finished product in glass pyrex bowls, the kind with the red lids, and putting a circle of parchment paper between the lid and the surface of the ice cream to cut down on freezer burn. I’ve also heard if you stash the entire bowl in a ziploc bag before putting it in the freezer it eliminates freezer burn entirely.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing such great tips! 🙂

      • ThatWordChick

I’ve got no tips for willpower, sadly. Once you’ve had homemade ice cream, it’s hard to go back to purchased pints!! 🙂

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree! Homemade ice cream is soo good 😉

  6. Jenn N

It’s not updating to the 29.99 price in my cart 😔help?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, how strange, I added it to my cart again and it still adjusted to $29.99. I wonder if it would work for you in another browser?

I’m an idiot. I was on Amazon lol. Sorry. Guess I shouldn’t be on h2s at work

    • sue

Hey, Hey, Hey, no idiots here. Colin doesn’t allow them on her site! That’s what happens when you are multi-tasking in your head and have to look over your shoulder at the same time! Too funny.

      • Jenn N

Thank you. I feel like I’m losing my mind at times

        • sue

No worries, it’s always nearby! That stuff happens more and more as you get older. Most people don’t admit to it. Only makes us human.

          • Laura

Too Funny! Work can wait. When Collin posts a smoking deal, we must act -NOW! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No worries! 😉 Glad you found out why it wasn’t working for you!

Great ice cream maker, but if you are hesitating, this is an item easily found at yard sales and Goodwill. Got a brand-new one for $8.

how do u make the ice cream? what ingedients do u need

    • ThatWordChick

Sara, typically it’s milk, heavy cream, sugar and whatever flavorings you want – vanilla extract for vanilla, pureed strawberries, etc. It takes about…2 cups of milk and 2 cups of heavy cream per batch, if memory serves. The center “bowl” of the unit goes in the freezer for 12 hours before you make it (we just keep ours in there until we’re ready to make ice cream) and you add the ingredients, and a combination of a plastic scraper and a rotating base churns and mixes it all up. Takes maybe like…30 minutes, all told, from liquid to ice cream. It’s really neat.

I was so bummed I missed the other deal the other day and so glad I got it this time!
My 12 year old will love this for Christmas!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😀

Omg. I recently bought the magic Bullet frozen dessert maker last time Collin posted it for $20 and since I didn’t open it yet should i get this and return that? I don’t need 2 similar devices.. And this one looks better..

  12. Cs

Can anyone compare this to the kitchenaid ice cream maker attachment? Been wanting an ice cream maker but couldn’t decide between a stand alone or kitchenaid attachment. Thanks!

  13. melissa

Any free shipping codes? They don’t have it in my local store.

  14. I Love Shopping

My kids have been wanting an ice cream maker. This post has started me to look into these. What are your thoughts on the second bowl? I noticed that William Sonoma has an identical looking one that includes extra bowl for 69.95 (reg $130). Also, can get 15 percent off with online popup box. Cuisnart website sells the bowls for $30. I appreciate any thoughts!

    • Mimi

I guess with this price, I would go for 2 machines! That way, you can make two flavor at the same time!

  15. Annie

I got 1% back at MrRebates. Not much, but every little bit helps!

  16. Court A

Love mine so much I bought a second bowl so I could make more than one batch at a time! The batches are a little small but the plus is that your ice cream is soft set (and ready to sample!) in about 20 minutes. I keep my bowls in the freezer all the time so they’re always ready when I am. @CS- I brought mine to my girlfriend’s house so we could make several batches. She has the big Kitchenaid ice cream attachment and bowl. We both started at the same time and mine was done waaaay faster and with much less mess and hassle. Sure, her batch was bigger, but I made two in the time it took her to make one. Beware, though, because once you go homemade you’ll never want store bought again!

You are so right! I kept looking at the regular price, this is a fantastic deal! I even ordered an extra one for kids school silent auction basket ‘ice cream night’ theme. Thank you, Collin and all!
