Does anybody know about or have any input on this product. I just started working out and focusing on muscle strength (and development😉) an wondering if this is a good buy. Also, I’m consistently weary of any product that boosts you metabolism (now), but causes your metabolism to slow down later on in life when your not using products like this. Any input would be grately (sp?) appreciated.

Pre workout gives you energy to help get thru a workout. If you are new to it I recommend starting with just half of the serving.

Pre workouts don’t directly boost your metabolism. Rather they give you a huge dose of caffeine (among other ingredients) so that your workouts will be more intense. If you’re sensitive to caffeine, start with a smaller dose. If you need a jump start and help with endurance throughout your workouts than a pre-workout can be ideal.

This is a great buy! I have found that using a pre-workout powder is the best way to go even if it is a bit on the expensive side. This will boost your energy to push you to work harder at the gym. It does have a lot of caffeine in it. I would say it feels like having two mountain dews. It won’t cause your metabolism to slow down later in life. This supplement has a lot of vitamin b’s and caffeine which boosts your energy which in turn boosts your metabolism. Naturally as we get older our metabolisms slow down as we do, so maybe think about taking supplements in the future.

Take two scoops with coffee, at least 30 min before workout. It would also be good to set alarm a few hours before getting up and taking a single scoop to get the vitamins needed for a healthy boost in the morning.

Thanks for all the feedback and info. I’m definitely going to get some and now have some new things to look into.

Also, if it’s muscle strength and development you want – the supplement you should prioritize is whey protein powder and secondary BCAA’s. Protein and branch chain amino acids are required for muscle growth. They don’t have to be through supplement forms but unless your diet already included a lot of protein sources than you’re probably not getting enough.

Totally off topic, has anyone heard about plexus shakes? I heard it works, but I’m kind of scared to try it.

    • Arianne

Not necessary for weight loss. Unless you ask a Plexus representative.

My husband & sister-in-law have been using Plexus for a couple weeks now. They both like how it’s helped them have more energy throughout the day, and they feel their body functions more regularly/consistently. The smell of the powder leaves something to be desired, but it tastes better than other things I’ve tried.

Muscle development is best for women!!! Supplements like this and weight lifting is extremely effective in getting skinny and not bulky. I couldn’t lose weight to save my life after my fifth child until I did that. I gave up bread. Ran. Walked. Starved. Ate healthy and this and weight lifting is the only thing that worked.

Walmart sells this same brand for $15. Sam’s has the same stuff for $20 and it goes on sale quite often. Just bought it for $11.99 when it is on sale. They both are great and I use them with every workout.
