The Petco in Livonia, Mi says they do not take coupons from coupons.com because they are not reimbursed for them and that the site uses the Petco image without authorization. This happened with the Pro plan treats coupons that I tried to use there last weekend.
Previously, I had also tried to use another coupons.com Purina coupon there. Not only was I told that coupons from this were fake, I was also told that “it’s people like you why we don’t get raises.” I felt bad that I was being accused of using fake coupons (multiple times while there) and that it was my fault that the employees don’t get raises. And, I was nothing but super nice and polite.
I tried calling Petco customer service. However, it was an outsourced call to India and the rep could not understand what I was trying to tell her. She kept telling me to use the coupon online no matter how many times I explained (and my husband even tried to explain) coupons.com, that the coupon was printable for in store use only and had the Petco logo.
Bummer!
That’s awful. Was it just the cashier who told you that? You should stop by and speak with the store manager. If it was the manager who told you, call the store and ask for the district number. If nothing else, post on their Facebook page. It’s one thing to not take the coupon, but they shouldn’t have been rude about it.
It’s reasons like this I have stopped shopping at petco. They normally take my coupons but I don’t understand how it is they get away with collecting tax for the full price of the item when it’s on sale and you’re not using any coupons at all.

Yes, my cat is on YD and I’ve been allowed to use these coupons. Or, if you pick up your food from a vet, ask them if they have any Q’s for the prescription foods. My vet is always has them and is very kind about giving me these coupons. They just don’t put them out you have to ask for them.

Just though I’d mention, we started my cat on science diet prescription c/d dry for urinary crystals and after about a month we noticed his hair was falling out waaaay more than usual, it was super dry and he got tons of mats, which he usually doesn’t get. Switched him to another brand and his coat is back to normal now.
My cat has been on this food for over 4 years now and he is completely fine. I think your cat just had a bad reaction to it.
There is a subscribe and save deal on science diet (I think on other items too) on petcos website. If you subscribe to have shipments to your house you get a free $30 egift card. You can cancel at anytime and says shipments can be every 1week-12months. Has anyone done this? I thought about it. So I’m assuming I could get a 7lb bag of science diet for about $20 + $5.99 shipping and get the $30 egift card and then cancel.
