4 Easy Ways to Organize Tank Tops
Do you own a lot of tank tops? Get them all organized with these inexpensive and space saving ideas!
1) DIY Shower Ring Hanger
Turn a sturdy wood hanger into a clever organizination tool by using shower rings from the dollar store! This is a great way to hang tank tops, camis, scarves, and hats in the closet.
2) Tie Hanger
Use a men’s tie or belt hanger to organize up to 24 tank tops! This is my favorite method because you can fit so many on one hanger and the little hooks move back and forth but don’t slide around like the shower rings sometimes do.
3) Over the Door Hanging Shoe Organizing
Re-purpose a hanging shoe rack on a closet door to store tank tops – just roll up your tops and place them in a pouch! You can also roll and store other types of clothing and accessories like scarves and belts.
4) Tank Top Hanger
This useful closet hanger can easily organize tank tops, camis, bathing suits, and bras. I use this type in my daughter’s room for all her tanks and tank dresses so they don’t fall off the hanger.

I did the hanger and shower ring idea recently and love it!!! I put all of mine in order by color and it makes it so much easier to see and helped free up space in my dresser!!

Ok, here is a question for all you ladies…with so many ideas like this one, how do you prevent your closet rods from being weighted down? Mine are always warping and the screw starts to come out of the shelf holding the middle bracket…I think my boyfriends clothes are just too heavy (he is 6’2″, so rather big tees!)…help with ideas!
I only hang my hubby jeans and button up shirts in our closet. His t-shirts, underpants, sweats and socks are all in his dresser. We purchased identical dressers from ikea.
Get metal rods with metal brackets and attach them with screws and drywall anchors. All of mine have broken one at a time because the builders used plastic brackets.
If possible put a bracket in the middle to help with the weight if that’s no an option you could rap a heavy gauge wire in the middle and get a hook & screw it in the ceiling then attack the wire to the hook . Good luck

The shower ring method did not work for me. The rings slide up and down the hangers. I did get the hanger with the multiple rings. Love it!
I had the same thing happen to me. Now I have a pants hanger with multiple bars and that helps keep them more balanced.
Get a pack of little binder clips from the dollar store to use as spacers between shower rings.

I have been racking my brain on how to organize my bras/lingerie? I can’t come up with any safe,viable methods. I am tired of having them in a drawer just all piled on top of one another hoping the lace/material doesn’t snag and get pulled apart/ripped. Any ideas would be so appreciated!! I know someone out there has something good to share!!!

I use those clear plastic refrigerator bins from BB&B. I have bras (about 10) in the divided one and nighties, etc. folded/rolled in the narrow one. I sit the bras up in front of each like VS does in their store. The bins take up little space and can be stacked. Hope that helps!
Just bought an over the door shoe organizer from target for 7.99 for my scarves!! 🙂
I bought some of the smaller Command hooks and put them on an empty part of a wall in my closet. I alternated them high/low. I can hang 3 tank tops on each hook. I color corrdinated them and it has worked well for me. I can see them easier and they don’t take up rod space…just another suggestion.
Yes I kinda did the same thing and purchased the little hooks that fit over the door comes in packs of 3 for for $1 at dollar general my door can prolly got about 10 I try to group the same colors together it’s worked pretty good for me
Anyone try the tie rack idea? I immediately did some Amazon skimming and looks to me like the belt hangers would be the most useful. Is it a hassle to pick out which tank? I’m thinking this might be a helpful idea for me. The use of a handing shoe rack has been a life changer for me- so handy!
I really like the door shoe organizer I’ve tried different things and it’s always so hard to find the one I’m needing or put them away I think this looks to be the best solution for them so far!
I hang my tanks on “S” hooks (a few on each hook sorted by color) that I got from Amazon. I also use them for jeans (hook through belt loop), belts, and scarfs.

I use a tie rack hanger. It works great! I make sure that I alternate which side I hang the tanks on otherwise it gets too bulky on one side. I definitely recommend something like this.
Any ideas for Cardigans ???
i’m not a fan of hanging cardigans because of shoulder dents from hangers but I also know they don’t stay folded very well. I like hanging shoe storage thingies for this. you can roll the sweaters or fold or just smash them in the opening if they’re not ones that wrinkle badly.
i’ll post a link if I can find one but the ones that work well Velcro over your closet rod and then hang down about 5 feet and have 4″x4″ square openings that normally you’d shove a pair of shoes back into(cause they’re about 12″ deep) so it really only takes up 6″ of closet rod space and you can store lots! handy for all sorts of odd things.
I’ve also used a metal hanger, folded it in half n formed it into a circle with an open end. I tightened it together with electrical tape. I currently use it for belts or my husband’s snap back hats. I’m going to make another & cover with a thin layer of cushion then fabric for a nicer look to hang tank tops & one for bras.
