Speaking of closets, how do you all organize handbags?
I have 3 larger ones and store wallets, clutches, and smaller purses inside of them to maintain their shape. But those 3 larger bags are structured and don’t fit on my closet shelf real well.
my husband made two rows of hooks (from wooden dowels) on one of the side walls of the closet. So, I just hang them.
Not the best method but I have mine in large clear totes.
I have a little problem with bags, in that I love then and have too many. I have no idea how to store them, either. I think at this point I need an entire shelved closet devoted just to bags and shoes.
I put the smaller bags inside the larger bags as if stacking. I also coordinate them by color groups, like darks, warm colors, etc. I don’t know if this is the best way since sometimes you can forget what bags you have in them but it does save space.
Me too! I need ideas on storage!!
I would like it better if it hung over a door for my purpose. Don’t feel like drilling into my door π
has anyone had trouble with this type of rack causing door-hinge problems? i like this idea for organizing a pantry, but it looks so heavy as a long-term option. i have put much smaller racks on the back of a pantry door for light things like extra toiletries (band-aids, cotton balls) or maybe light boxed items.
is a bigger, long shelving system like the one pictured usually fine when it’s full of grocery items? thanks!
I use a long rolling plastic bin for my purses and slide it right under my bed. I line the bin with white felt purchased at the fabric store on a bolt and stuff the purses with sealed air packets (like bubble wrap only larger) to keep their shape. My purses come with fabric bags so I use them as well. But most importantly I NEVER put the plastic lid on.
FYI – The sealed air packets work really well for long boots too!
