I just got my membership yesterday dang I kept checking for this deal I guess I missed it by a day.

You have 30 days to cancel. If you have a spouse you can get it in their name. You will not be eligible.

    • Brindha

Send a email to them if they can give you the offers and the difference as a gift card. Usually they will do it.

Anybody else not received their $5 groupon bucks from Snap transition?

Last year they had these deals on the Sam’s plus memberships. I wish they would have another one of those, as opposed to the normal memberships.

    • Just Me

That happened in November so be on the look out then. It was a pain since you had to purchase online and when I had a problem the store would send me to online and online would say they could fix it in store.

    • Katherine

Yes the Sams plus membership Groupon deal was really nice. I earned $30 in the year I had my plus membership. The regular membership isnt as good but Im not waiting around for a plus membership deal that may never come.

What happens if your husband has an account and you have a card. Could you open your own account?

    • Just Me

      Yes

I keep considering these and passing… We’ve had both Sam’s and Costco through these deals before, and I’m not really convinced it makes sense to pay to shop at a warehouse. Someone convince me otherwise! FYI, ours does not offer gas.

I signed up for Sam’s Club through Hip2Save deal in which I got my money back with the promo pack with freebies and a gift card. I figured if I found no use for the warehouse, I didn’t put any money out. So far, I love Sam’s Club for their clearance hidden goodies (food, jewelry and clothes), the pharmacy has quite a long list of free maintenance drugs, free samples around the store and Instant Savings coupons. Nothing to clip, they are auto loaded on your card and you can review the deals on the app. I don’t have Sam’s Club gas either.

Costco, I just signed up and haven’t visited yet. I am waiting for my Sam’s Club is finished so that I can move my scripts to Costco.

I really think it depends on what you buy. Ground beef is usually the best price at Sams, as well as lunch box staples like Capri Sun and Peanut Butter and Gogurt. I pick and choose, only buy what’s a better deal.

      • Just Me

Agree. I usually only buy a few things there. Hamburger 90%, ( chicken in my area is the same price everywhere), cheese, hot dogs, I like the sandwich hoagies/ rolls, pre cut salad and salsa are a way better deal, frozen broccoli. Randoms on clearance toys, clothes, shoes, Christmas wrap candy etc. every September I get clearance otter pops.
I know it doesn’t sound like it’s worth it but I only buy SAMs membership when it’s this deal and I split it with my sister.

        • ashlynn.

We do the frozen broccoli too! Cottage cheese, lettus, carrots, granola bars, peanut butter and jelly make the cut for our family too. It all depends really have to price compare.

    • Amy

I also like that I can place my order online and it will be ready when I get to the store. I know my items are in stock and I know exactly what I am spending and it keeps me from impulse buying. (Also I’m just too lazy to walk all over that huge store to collect all my items. I’m not one that likes to browse around).

I need a costoco membership deal if anyone knows of any!

  7. andrea

could someone please help me!! My bj’s membership is about to expire, I had costco in the past, and I would like to try sams club. Which one do you guys recommend??
at bj’s I only buy plates and cups, and every once in a while I get some other products when they have good coupons.

    • Blessed

I have done Sam’s through a group on and we get the gas, generic medicines, books, salad, ground beef regularly. I feel like it has been worth it for our family. With the gift card and the value of the food items . I don’t think we were out much. They have several locations in my area i that I routinely pass by. We also purchased a space heater, beach umbrella and I am sure many other things. My family thinks it is fun to go on Saturday and have samples. I also have purchased some frozen food items for parties. Every time I see a Costco I debate whether I should get one but so far I have just stuck with Sam’s my husband and I alternate being the primary.

      • andrea

        Thank you, =)

    • maranda

I just joined bjs after a Groupon deal. I am a sams club girl. Prices are very similiar however I noticed a few bucks difference on same items, so I am sticking with Sams. Better deals for me at sams.

      • andrea

        thank you Maranda

  8. Hannah

Is this membership good for a household or just one person?

    • Mindy

You can be the primary card holder and give someone else the second card (that person needs to come in to take the picture) like mom, sister, brother, husband, or even your neighbor (maybe you can split the cost too!)

  9. Kristina

Anyone know If I had a membership 2 yrs ago if I could do this ?

    • Mindy

yes, I alternate with my husband every year.

  10. elizabeth

Thank you, I have been waiting on this deal. Hubbys card is expiring next month.

I am already a Sam’s Club member. If someone would like to use my referral link, we will both get a $10.00 e-gift card! Thanks so much!

  12. Kathryn

After you pay for your membership, how do you redeem it? Do they, send you a receipt , or how does Groupon work?

  13. Kathy

if i was under a business membership that cant be renewed but was expired less than 6 months can i do this deal?

  14. Ladonna

How do I know if my Holiday package deal is on my card? I checked the instant savings tab online but it’s not listed. It was a big part of me buying the membership but of course I didn’t get to the store to get my membership till Friday & they said it took 72 hours for the coupons to load to the card. I didn’t get it for Easter dinner but still planned to get them. Help!!!
