Awesome! Was able to get 4 packs for under $16! Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

Those trash bags are horrible in my opinion. 95% of them rip down the same seam regardless of how full (or not full) you fill the bag. Waste of money.

    • Jenn

I had the same experience but after emailing them, they sent me two coupons for two free boxes.

      • Maia.

Who did you email? Staples or Glad? Would you mind sharing the email address you sent your complaint to? I bought 4 boxes of these Glad trash bags and every time I lift the trash bag off the garbage can, they rip apart!! So frustrating.

        • Elvira

I would email glad corporate. If you google I’m
Sure there’s a “contact us” form somewhere.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! So sorry to hear that! Thanks for your honest feedback!

    • Joanna

I am a huge fan of the Glad ForceFlex trash bags, and I don’t usually have issues with them any more than other brands. Occasionally, though, I will end up with a box that seems to have some defective bags in it, and when that happens, I have contacted Glad. Since I’ve used Glad for years, I have done this more than once – not every time a bag tore, but certainly if there were multiple bags from the same box that were tearing for no reason. So probably every 2-3 years, I end up contacting them with an issue, and every single time I contacted them, they responded quickly, had me give them the manufacturing code/date from the “offending” box, and then sent me at least one coupon for a free box.

Someone on another site posted the math for this deal that I thought was helpful:
    “208.8 sq.ft. in these packs.
    12 x 165 sheets = 1980 sheets
    $3.99 ÷ 208.8 = $0.019 per sq.ft.
    $3.99 ÷ 1980 sheets = $0.002 per sheet
Not even remotely close to being a “warm” deal for Cottonelle Clean Care 1-ply.
This is walk in and buy price at most stores with no “sale”, coupon or GC deals.”
That is that person’s opinion, but it seems reasonable.

Thanks for posting this, Elizabeth! I often will do the math but I’ve gotten lazy about it in recent months. These packages are all so different (1 ply, 2 ply, varying sizes per square, blah blah blah). It gets so frustrating trying to “shop” these necessities and I think many manufacturers and retailers hope people like myself just give up out of frustration and impulse buy vs. really paying attention to the breakdown.

      • A

Manufacturers are also making their rolls narrower so they can still claim to have the same number sheets but the sheets are smaller.

      • Elizabeth

No problem. Actually, I don’t know what IS a good price per sheet or sq.foot. If anyone has an opinion, I’d be interested. I guess 1-ply vs 2-ply makes a difference for sure.

I think this is a pretty darn good deal and here’s why:

1st: This roll pack is $6.29 at Target. Not that Target is my guide, but it’s giving a point of reference. But Staples is already more than 33% off of Target’s out the door price.
2nd: These are “big” rolls. They are about 60% larger than a standard roll. That means this pack has about 19.2 regular rolls as an equivalent. I found the percentage of increase by finding out that a “double” roll has 208 sheets, meaning a reg. should have 104. The difference between 104 and 165 is just about 60%. Meaning these cost $.21 a reg roll out the door.
3rd: As it is mentioned, pick up in store gives an addition 5% off. That makes it 19.7 cents a roll.
4th: If you shop through upromise.com, you will get 5% back. ebates.com and topcashback.com aren’t as high.
5th: There is also a Staples code. 76980 Use it. It will give you back 20% in rewards, provided you are a rewards member. Which means, if you order $25 or more in this toilet paper (7 packs) you will receive a $5 gift card back to the store.

Even if you don’t do step 4, but do the remaining steps, this gets the toilet paper down to 16.18 cents a reg roll after gift card.

I did step 4, and used my cash back credit card which means after all discounts, cash backs, and gift card I’m looking at 2.85 a pack, or 15 cents for a single reg roll. Pretty darn good deal if you ask me.

    • Debbie in PA

Thanks! Basically just followed your directions and ordered the same way.

  5. Rebeccandkiki

Looks like this is $7.33 at Walmart., so seems like a great deal to me! I ordered 3 packs! Thanks!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

  6. SJ

Since you are picking it up in store, is there any way to use a MQ on this order?

    • Candice

That’s up to the manager on duty. It is possible:)

  7. kerstin

I did an order for 3 Cottonelle Bath Tissue packs the order went through and said they had 30some in stock at the store. Then I got an email that in-store pick up was unavailable for the item. Anyone else have this happen?

    • Candice

Try purchasing in store. They price match online prices and that way you can use a manufacturers coupon 🙂

    • Kristen

I had the same thing happen to me. I ordered 4 online and it said there were a lot available in the store, then I received the same email stating that none were available. 🙁

  8. kelli

Thank you!! We were running low on both and I was waiting for a great deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome Kelli!

  9. 3babiesmommie

$3.99 every week at my Walgreens with the $1 off Walgreens coupon in savings book, add another manufacturer coupon and these would be even cheaper! 12 roll Cottonelle

    • Rachel

It’s still cheaper at Staples. Staples price is .0019 a sheet where Walgreens is .0024 a sheet. That’s using the 3.99 walgreens price and the 3.79 staples pick up in store price.

  10. kiera monroe

This is a great deal. Its super expensive here in NY. We picked up 3 packs!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome!

  11. Kidsallgone

Speaking of price-matching (and off topic sorry) but I was at Petsmart getting a large bag if Hills Prescription w/d cat food and saw the price was $74. I looked online (petsmart) and it shows the same item for $64. I asked if they would match their online price and they did. I also had a $10 off coupon from buying that same food last month and a $5 email rewards. Just a bit of FYI about checking any store’s online price.

  12. kk

does anyone know if staples allows you to bring in a manf. coupon for price adjustments for online orders?

  13. April

Im not able to get the deal. The link takes me to the page but no able to add the Tp to my order. Anyone else having a problem? suggestions?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! I am still able to add it to my cart as I click through. Are you by chance on a mobile device? If not, maybe try in a different browser. Hope that helps!

  14. Aimlessly

    There’s also a Checkout 51 $.55 rebate.

  15. stef
