I purchased the last deal you posted for $45 for the whole year for my sons (ages 5 and 2) and I must say I absolutely love it! My 5yr old son wakes up every day and asks to go on it and my 2yr old son sits right next to him watching him play until it’s his turn, then I sit with him and supervise. I will also add that that my 5yr old has ADHD type 1&2 so this really helps him out a lot! I think my 2yr old does as well so this helps out tremendously with early intervention.
My son did ABCmouse when he was 5. He loved ABCmouse and would beg to play. He actually chooses it at the library often, even at 7. At first I had to help him a lot but it didn’t take long for it to be something he could do on his own. As for learning value, I’m not certain he learned anything but I would say it doesn’t hurt. There were times the site was glitchy and my son would get irritated. His favorite part was earning coins to buy things for his pets. I had no problems canceling after our year, I then renewed for 3 months (over the summer) and again no problem’s canceling. At this price I think I may do it again for my 4yr old.
I signed up for a free trial last month along with the assessment (feature within ABC Mouse). Me and my son absolutely loved this site. I cancelled the assessment feature yesterday but thought to keep the access to ABCmouse as my son got so used to this. $7.95 is pricey (with several options available for free), but ABCmouse is complete package with all types of activities, games and books.

If you’d rather, you can also head over here to score a FREE 30-day trial to ABCmouse.com – you can even register up to 3 children per account! After the 30-day trial ends, future months will be billed at $7.95 per month. If you opt to cancel, you can do so on the My Account page in the Parents Section.
Can you cancel after the 2 months?
The website states that you can cancel anytime. Hope this helps!
I’ve read a lot of reviews. As for the service itself, the reviews have generally been excellent. As for ease of canceling, that is a very different story.
I’ve canceled many times as I just wait for the specials. Canceling has been easy for me as you do it through the parent portal.
can I cancel after 2 months
Do the kids have to use this on a computer? Or can it be played on an app on their iPads?
our kids use the ipad to play on it.
It can be used on iPads as well 🙂
I know they have an ABC mouse app. I’m sure it’s all inclusive. I would happily pay 2.50 per month every month. May have to try it for that price and cancel before it goes up to 7.95. My question is can I buy it for my son’s ipad and for my daughter’s kindle for 2.50 per month on a shared account???
you can use it up to 3 kids per account
Ty!
I just looked at it and it’ not $7.95 it’s $9.95 a month
how much is it per month
Yes can you cancel after two months or do you have to do the rest of the year???
It appears that you can cancel anytime.
It can be used on your phone or iPad. I had it on both. My kids really enjoyed it but forgot to play it. It wasn’t worth it for us. My 3 year old learned how to skip through things just to earn the ticket. Good idea if it was free but not for a monthly cost.
Thanks so much for the honest feedback Molly!
Just in case others don’t know…Teachers get free accounts for ABCMouse.
How do i sign up as a teacher?
I signed my son up for a free trial. We played around on it for a while and it really didn’t strike me as anything much better than a lot of the free apps you can now get access to these days. I think its worth a free trial to see if it works for your kids and I can testify from personal experience that it was super easy to cancel and I never got charged.
Sorry to hear you did not care for it but super glad it was easy to cancel! Thanks for sharing Liz!
Why does it not show up as 7.95 a month it’s 9.95 a month after 2 months
I cancelled and said the cost was too much. They gave 12 months for $29.99. I didn’t have the extra funds at the moment so I declined. I went back later and reinstated it and when I went to cancel it again it gave me the same option. So 29.99 for a year. 🙂 I went back to get it again because my son loves it.
Oh good! Thanks for sharing your experience Morna! Happy he enjoys it so much!
We love it, worth every penny
Glad to hear it!
Our experience with abc mouse is awesome!! We had our son on it a year 1/2 ago..he could play on it via comp or tablet! Their were a few glitches here and there but they fixed it..once he was done with it,it was soooo easy to cancel!! Thinking bout this for our 3 year old now:) Thank you for posting this!!:)
Awesome! Was just waiting for a better deal! Thanks!
You are so welcome! Happy you can score the deal Lindsey!
Do you have to be connected to wifi to use it? Just curious if kiddos would be able to play on long car rides.
it needs internet to work
My son is 16 months, is that too young? Seems to be 2-3 yrs at least to start.
I noticed my daughter is 2 young for it and she is almost 2. My son has had it since 3 and he is 5 and still loves it
I signed up with another deal a little over a year ago. My kids were 3 and 6. They ended up just clicking through the lessons to earn more tickets so they could buy things to put in their room, or play with the hamster. I limited the time they could spend on those things, but they would just click through the lessons without really paying attention. I eventually just turned off the tickets and hamster things and they were no longer interested in playing. I much prefer Starfall. It’s fun, they learn a lot. They even use it at our school in Kindergarten.
I also like starfall and so do my kids. It is simple learning, but fun for them.
I downloaded starfall but the free version is limited. My kid likes it and Im considering to purchase but was worried that i need to pay for additional app to use its full potential. I read on the reviews that each add on you need to purchase. Is this true?
Yana, to answer your question, no you don’t have to pay extra for the Starfall app. It is already free and has some great things on it already. But if you pay for the Starfall home membership, you can access a lot more on the app. I recently purchased the paid version of Starfall for my twin grandsons and have it on 2 iPads and an iPhone so far. I plan on putting it on my laptop and my grandkids’ parents’ devices as well. The home membership authorizes it to be used by the immediate family, which includes grandparents. So far I am very pleased at my decision to get the year’s membership at $35, which works out to less than $3 a month. My grandsons love it!
Thanks Melissa
My kids love it! The earliest they started was about 2 to 2 1/2. I have to kids on the same account but they can log in on two different devices and it doesn’t boot each other out.
Is there a way for my daughter to play this on her fire kids tablet?
Yes we got the kids fire tablets on prime day and they play the abcmouse app on it. They love it!
Thank you!!
We love abcmouse! It has a lot of great games and for three kids to be on it, I don’t find it expensive. I feel that this is a tool and really works well if you sit with your child and interact during it. When the books are being read, I often pause it and ask questions. When there is a activity or game I let the child lead and we talk about it. It also prevents the cheating to get tickets. Sometimes my daughter does lessons on her own and she is capable of it. My son just turned two and isn’t as into the program as his sister. He does like to play around with it but he prefers other games on the iPad. Anyway, there’s my two cents! We will keep purchasing it… Though I’m thinking now of canceling to see if I get offered the 29.95 deal!
So glad to hear your family has had a great experience! Thanks for sharing!
Do you know how long the deal will go?
This sounds like the best way to use it. So you are helping and encouraging your child to do the lessons without “cheating” to get the tickets. This is an amazing learning tool if used this way. Thanks for posting, some people may not have thought about doing it this way. I am thinking about buying this for my God daughter. I wish I would have done this a couple years ago to help encourage her learning. My sister is a pre-k teacher and uses this.
I just did the free 30 day trial this morning – through a swagbucks offer and got $1.75 for doing so. 🙂
Do all of you limit screen time to 2 hours a day?
I try to limit ipad to 30 mins or so a day. Mainly just when I put the baby down for a nap my older one ( age 3) can use the ipad for a few minutes. I’m kind of old fashioned and prefer to have my daughter do actual puzzles, workbooks, coloring, etc. It’s probably just a personal pet peeve but I can’t sand to constantly see kids glued to electronics these days. We do watch some TV during the day too just depending on the schedule but nothing portable in the car, when out and about, etc. Now what Dad does when I’m at work might be another story lol 🙂
Does anyone remember Neopets? The creator of Neopets, Doug Dohring and his son Jason Dohring (actor from Veronica Mars) created ABCMouse. Just a little fun fact :). My nieces and nephews adore the program!
I don’t remember the details, but last time I canceled, was not as easy, and I got charged more at the end. So, now I am always hesitant to sign for this. Even though, it is a good program.
Our 2-year-old tried the free trial and she got really upset and cried a lot at first, mainly doing the coloring pages. She’s even REALLY savvy on her tablet & loves other toddler apps so it was strictly the ABCmouse app- whether it be the layout, navigation, glitches, or something she doesn’t like as much. She finally played ok after a while, however you really cannot do the Learning Path suggestion at this age, where you guide them because they really want to play on THEIR own. We wouldn’t mind doing the $30 annual subscription. How do previous members receive that after cancelling? It only gives the option of regular price and the usual small discount promo?
I purchase ABCmouse. Since, my purchase I have bee having problem with trying use the program. Please help. 505/427-9098. Ms Gracie Armstrong. Sincere thanks,
Ms Gracie Armstrong
If the problem continue, I would like a refund.
Hi Gracie! Sorry to hear you’re having problems. You will need to reach out directly to ABCMouse and see if they can help you. Their customer contact page can be found here: https://www.abcmouse.com/customer-support. Hope that helps!
Can you pay for the year?
I asked to cancel my account and you took it out I would appreciate if you put it back
If I don’t have work WiFi at my home it’s still working this app
not at this time
