I love that they are pre sharpened! Our list said the 24 pencils had to be sharpened and we got rid of our electric sharpener! I Need to get started now with that, or just get these instead! 🙂 🙂

Costco also has a great deal on these and some other supplies as well depending on what and who you are buying for. I don’t recall if they were sharpened, but you get 96 pencils for $9.99. If you have multiple kids you have to buy for this is a big money saver! I only have one kiddo in school, so i will just stash the extras away for when I have three in school!

Buying these at Costco was huge for us. Between my 3 elementary aged children in school, we needed 252 pencils! And for some weird reason, the 1st and 2nd grade teachers specifically requested yellow.
Take a look at this pencil sharpener if you need one: X-ACTO Teacher Pro Electric Pencil Sharpener with SmartStop, Black (1675). It’s a beast. It does colored pencils, too, without gumming up and breaking. I can sharpen multiple dozens in less than a minute without a single glitch.
Thanks for the suggestion! We have to sharpen colored pencils here at home like nobody’s business! My three year old twins don’t understand the meaning of “soft and gentle” when it comes to coloring, lol.
My guess is that the younger grades share a cup of pencils for the table. If some of the pencils in the cup are the standard yellow but others are pretty colors/patterns or have characters on them it could lead to arguments.
I checked my local store and it is showing they are $5.97 so ordered and chose to pick up in store and they are showing they will be available for pickup today!
Same thing for me, then they went out of stock, and won’t be here til sometime in August. Bummer!

Good price. Kroger also has these on sale this week, but the 24 count pack for $2.99 with card. Comes out to just silightly a bit less per pencil than this deal.

Go to their website and look at weekly ads. You have the option of 7/24’s and 7/31’s. Office Depot/Max’s ad is always available the Friday before. (Staples is available the Thursday before)

Amazon has 96 pack for $12.99 which is about less than half a cent higher per pencil than these. Not pre sharpened though but saves you going to Walmart and waiting at site to store checkout (which is always awful here).
Just ordered several online school supplies from walmart and it says arrive NOV 5, wonder if that is really true? If so that is not going to help me.

As a gift from the school’s PTA, we buy each of the school’s teachers a pre-sharpened box of these each year (that way teachers aren’t sharpening a bunch themselves right before school starts). I was able to purchase 25 at Staples with their price match for $3.63 each. I’ve been stalking all the back to school deals! Thanks so much!

I just left Wal-Mart and they were priced at 5.97 for a a box of 30. I waited too late for the online deal.
I ordered online this morning…and picked up at the Walmart where I was going to be. Not a problem. They did have them in the store for almost $6. I got 4 boxes for $16! Not too shabby. I also scored one of the $35 Nabi Jrs!! They had sold out of the iPad’s tho…the guy was super nice!! Online it said out of stock for the Nabi Jrs…but he had 6! Thanks.
